Liked Lovely Place very Scenic Lovely People who run the site
All the facilities Showers Toilets where spotlessly clean I could not fault it
the Pub Stepping Stones was great lovely staff Great welcome
And my service dog Spud was made welcome too
Entertainment put on free of charge over the weekend really Great Place

Liked Large level pitch, nice site with access to a nice restaurant and bar with outside area, lovely attentive staff and value for money

From the manager: Thank you for leaving your comments after your stay. Unfortunately although the pylon is away from the pitches is does sometimes crackle due to weather conditions. The railway is 2 fields away and the motorway even further behind a hill and trees, again these were well established before us.
The dates you were here the site was full and we are sorry standards were not met despite the facilities being cleaned 3 times each day. Heavy use and sadly sometimes little respect when being used can lead to them looking less than their best. We will check and clean more often.
Both dogs you have mentioned seemed to be secure from your comment and no other mention or concern from other guests with regard to their breed. It may of been helpful if this was mentioned to us at the time.

Liked Loved the location and having the river and pub on site was amazing!!
Also, having a park for the kids was a massive bonus.

Disliked Only issues were that the toilet and shower block was right up near reception and the tent pitches were the furthest away that they could have possibly been. We still had a great experience. Weather always helps! Had glorious weather for the whole weekend. Not sure I'd have enjoyed the trek up to the toilets if it was pouring down with rain!

From the manager: Thank you for leaving your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, The utility block is at the top of the park but probably a 2 minute walk from the tenting field. Unfortunately to build a block near the tents would cause massive earth works to put water, drainage etc. We hope you will visit us again in the future.

Liked Great welcome on arrival and located pitch No 6, one of the 6 available for overnighters when it’s quiet. There are plenty of other pitches further in the site all nice and large when busier.
Bonus was a proper restaurant and a good bar.
Dogs allowed in the carpeted bar area to dine with owners. Evening meal excellent and good value.
Breakfast was available in the conservatory (no dogs) which has exceptional country views, make sure you have breakfast which was first class and quality ingredients and presentation excellent.
I work in hospitality in Central London in 5* hotels and this kitchen (Darren) gives them a good run for their money, well done. All staff that I met were genuinely very engaging and friendly.
Steff you would be catch for any of the London hotels front of house.
Whoever is training the staff here is doing an excellent job.
A refreshing experience and I will certainly be returning here, a real gem

Liked Spacious pitch, 1st time had fully service pitch, help from staff was so helpful, camp was very clean and well maintained, showers were so lovely, playing music and heated too, restaurant/pub on site was very friendly and food was very nice, will definitely return to this site

Liked Excellent site, very close to M6 so convenient stop off on long drives. Very pleasant and helpful staff, well maintained site. Bus stop at the end of the lane means that you can leave your vehicle behind.
As it is so close to M6 the sound evident but only background noise and not intrusive.
WiFi was a bit variable but not a major issue.

Liked Lovely site friendly and very helpful staff , weather wasn’t brilliant so we were moved to different camping space as the camping field was very wet , food in the bar / restaurant was great and a very reasonable price . Shower block very clean and tell maintained . Will definitely be visiting again 👍👍👍
