Liked: Given the relatively poor reviews we didn't expect much from this site but was pleasantly surprised. Access to the lake is excellent. The showers and toilets are basic and dated but generally clean. The electric hookups in the area we were had been recently upgraded and our pitch was massive. Check in and check out was easy. There was a dj playing outside one of the waterfront establishments on Wednesday night and a band at another on Thursday, both stopping at 10pm so a great lively atmosphere. Don't be put off by the poor reviews. We took a chance for the lakeside access and would definitely return.

Liked: Location near the lake. Decent sized pitch but no real separation.
Disliked: Sanitary facilities very dated, most toilets “hole in the floor” style.
Electricity tripped easily. WiFi only in shop/ reception area.
Location is amazing. 2 minute walk to the lake. Site dated, overall.

Beach visitors can freely walk into the camp.
Through road to the beach is through the campsite. Facilities need updating, but are all there (squat and drop toilets, for example).

Liked: The location was great for waterspouts and cycling, pitches were a good size and the staff were really helpful.
Disliked: Leaving my passport with reception, I'm not sure why this was necessary when I paid in advance.

Liked: The location is to dream for and, although a little cramped, the site is okay with clean and efficient facilities.
Disliked: Don’t go anywhere near the lakeside restaurant if you want any money left to enjoy the rest of your holiday. There’s a perfectly reasonable Al fresco pizza/italian restaurant opposite the site’s entrance where you can eat for a week for the price of one meal by the lakeside.
