- Ten-minute drive from Alton Towers and Uttoxeter Racecourse
- Large family-friendly bar and restaurant - try the site's own bitter
- Large beer garden with kids' play area and large climbing frame
Off to Alton? The is ten minutes away from Alton Towers and has a comfy number of amenities to have you sorted on site too.
Set in two peaceful acres with flat grass pitches, the park has a traditional pub (large and family-friendly) with a family restaurant and – many brownie points – its own New Broom Bitter. There's also a big beer garden with a kids' play area and a bouncy castle. And it's all in the small Staffordshire village of Checkley, a short drive away from Uttoxeter Racecourse and The Potteries as well as Alton Towers.
The pub serves decently priced drinks and meals including carvery, cooked breakfasts and pizza (pizza is available for takeaway too) and has regular event such as rock nights, tribute nights and darts nights.
The New Broom also has a free of charge shower facility.

Many parks set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per site, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 sites.
However, where the campsite or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple sites or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be located together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click 'Make another booking like this' at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
