What customers say
Great campsite by a popular pub with friendly service and good food. Facilities are clean but basic. Pitches are mostly spacious, but some find them close. Road noise noted, but earplugs provided. Ideal base for Alton Towers.

Excellent spot. Great food.
Pub Car Park primitive cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked It’s a great site and plenty of room. We upgraded to a field pitch. Play area nice enough. Food excellent. View lovely. Just down the road is a community centre with another playground and a Milk shed selling coffee, mulkshakes and fresh produce. Lovely local football too.
Disliked Wanted to get my wrench out to fix up the playground. One swing missing which caused a bit of kid drama, but they worked it out. Quite close to a main road, which is busier than normal right now due to road works, but it wasn’t too bad.

Liked Lovely place. With friendly service and good facilities. Plenty of space and well maintained grounds
Disliked Sadly the noise from the road. This isn’t the campsite fault as the main road has a diversion right past the campsite. They did give us earplugs to help. But it didn’t solve the issue entirely

Not a place to chill and relax.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Smooth pitch, electric hook up close to pitch area. Plenty of space. Clean and tidy camp area. Plenty of takeaways close by that deliver promptly.
Disliked Not a very peaceful place to pitch up. Road noise is constant throughout the night. Shower block only has one shower per toilet block (male & Female). Rude people making noise at all hours, slamming car doors and car alarms going off at night. Wash area not well kept but does have hot water to clean pots etc. The camp is situated well out of the way of amenities and doesn't offer much in way of walks etc.

Liked Staff and owners are amazing and can't do enough for you. Food at the pub is pretty good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is excellent! Site is clean & tidy
Disliked Not a dislike but only one shower & toilet block so can have a bit of a wait. Staff keep them really clean though.
