What customers say
This well-kept, peaceful spot offers roomy sites & friendly, helpful staff. Guests love the clean washrooms, on-site store, and nice fishing lake. Great location for Peak District exploration, with local pubs and hikes. Some uneven sites & ongoing work noted, but highly recommended with many wanting to come back.

Lovely welcoming from the owner on…
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely welcoming from the owner on arrival who was very informative. There was some building work going on for which he was very apologetic and had absolutely no impact on or stay. Beautiful pond to walk around with our pooch albeit small. Lovely location . Onsite shop for the basics if needed was a bonus!
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Lovely little campsite in the country side, Belper town not too far away. Shower and toilet facilities clean.

Nice site with friendly staff and convenient shop
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Handy shop on site and grounds well kept and tidy.
Disliked The hardstanding, fully serviced pitches were close to a road and also furthest away from the facilities. I saw that work was underway on the site so perhaps this is in hand. The main toilet block would benefit from more male WCs and somewhere to hang your clothes when taking a shower (outside of the actual cubicle).

Liked Lovely quiet site with very friendly owners. Showers/toilets nice and clean and warm. Well equipped shop. We booked for one night and ended up extending to four!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it's a great location.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Spacious pitches, all inclusive price. Great location with easy access to Derby, Belper, Wirksworth, Ashbourne and Carsington Water.
Fantastic for dogs with open fields to the rear without any livestock.
Great customer service, nothing to much trouble.
Disliked Limited WiFi, only really available at the shop, so be prepared to take your own. Shower cubicles could possibly be bigger, but that's being picky.

Excellent site with great dog walking available.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Very friendly staff. On arrival we were greeted and the site details explained fully. As a dog owner, we were informed there were a couple of walking fields which were safe to let the dog off the lead. The showers/toilets look as though they had just been refurbished and were very clean. Washing facilities are undercover and again, very clean. The pitches are a good size and well serviced with electricity and intermittent water stands. There is an on-site shop which sells a bit of everything - food, snacks, toiletries, soft drinks and alcohol.
The location of the site is great for exploring the Peak District and visiting the various towns.
