West Bay Holiday Park

Μου άρεσε Location

Δεν μου άρεσε poor maintenance in toilet and shower block, with dripping showers, some out of order. Hooks missing in a few toilets and showers, so can’t hang up clothing etc.
Guy checking us in, made me disconnect my campervan and move completely to the other side of my 9+m wide pitch - so that i was >8m from my neighbour!! Ridiculous as van opposite had 1m distance from his neighbour…

Μου άρεσε My favourite place to go

Μου άρεσε The location was amazing, access to West Bay was a very short walk and the facilities were all very 👍.

Δεν μου άρεσε I only had initial contact with the staff on arrival (a good thing as I had no issues). However, the "greeter" Andy the person who provided my pitch number and welcome brief was quite frankly a real job's worth. He came to the pitch (which was sizeable, 13 paces wide 8 deep) and told me that I was putting up my little 2 man tent too far on one side by about a foot on the one place on the pitch with no grass which would become a mud pit if it rained. I challenged him about this and he told me that the council could turn up measure my tent and close the entire park by removing their licence. I told him I didn't believe him and his response was to provide 'proof' by telling me the council had indeed visited the site in July and had measured people's pitches to make sure they were all in the correct place. I told him what he offered me was not proof, but only a story and that I would be very happy to see the actual anecdotal paperwork from the Council visit, with all the corrective recommendations included, and the actions taken to rectify any non compliant pitches. Andy then walked off and we had no further contact.

Μου άρεσε Friendly, helpful staff.
The site is placed right in the bay, so there is lots to see, lovely shops and places to eat. No need to travel elsewhere.

Δεν μου άρεσε Some music in the shower rooms, also something other than a small hook, like a stool just to place your belongings, while inthe shower.

Μου άρεσε Excellently located site with wonderful terrace views. Everything you could want for a touring site.
Also the wardens are very friendly, knowledgeable and keep the site clean and tidy.
