Gostou The location was amazing, access to West Bay was a very short walk and the facilities were all very 👍.

Não gostou I only had initial contact with the staff on arrival (a good thing as I had no issues). However, the "greeter" Andy the person who provided my pitch number and welcome brief was quite frankly a real job's worth. He came to the pitch (which was sizeable, 13 paces wide 8 deep) and told me that I was putting up my little 2 man tent too far on one side by about a foot on the one place on the pitch with no grass which would become a mud pit if it rained. I challenged him about this and he told me that the council could turn up measure my tent and close the entire park by removing their licence. I told him I didn't believe him and his response was to provide 'proof' by telling me the council had indeed visited the site in July and had measured people's pitches to make sure they were all in the correct place. I told him what he offered me was not proof, but only a story and that I would be very happy to see the actual anecdotal paperwork from the Council visit, with all the corrective recommendations included, and the actions taken to rectify any non compliant pitches. Andy then walked off and we had no further contact.

Gostou Friendly, helpful staff.
The site is placed right in the bay, so there is lots to see, lovely shops and places to eat. No need to travel elsewhere.

Não gostou Some music in the shower rooms, also something other than a small hook, like a stool just to place your belongings, while inthe shower.

Gostou Excellently located site with wonderful terrace views. Everything you could want for a touring site.
Also the wardens are very friendly, knowledgeable and keep the site clean and tidy.

Gostou Touring wardens Gary and Andy were absolutely brilliant. Friendly informative and helpful. The camping site was very nice and we were right next to the dog park which was fantastic.

Não gostou Once away from the touring side the rest of the park - swimming pool and club house etc - was extremely run down, dirty and uninviting. There is a need for a light over the Elsan point at night and there is no WiFi available in the touring area.

Gostou We are self contained so can't comment on the showers etc.
The pitch was a generous size but for "fire regulations" it was insisted that we move about half a metre nearer to the edge, which put us about 2 metres from a camper van!
The water tap and grey water disposal was nearby and easy to access.
We didn't use the bar and bingo etc, not our thing at all!

Não gostou There was only one elsan point for the whole touring field, hardly adequate. Wifi was not accessible

Gostou The 3rd shower in the facilities block was fab so long as you could ignore the stench!

The close proximity of the site to the harbour was a blessing...

Não gostou The pitch was an absolute disgrace as it was 50% mud, NOT grass and not being allowed to move or park so that I wasn't constantly in mud was simply outrageous! Let alone a blatant breach of contract...

The fact that there are now 2 Pitch 1's, albeit that 1 is apparently Pitch1A, not that you can tell this without close inspection of the bodged sign or by looking at any site map as pitch 1A doesn't actually exist! Unbelievably the pitches are divided by black painted divider fences that are near impossible to see in the dark, which simply beggars ALL belief!

The offensive stench in the facilities block was wholly unacceptable.

The gross mismanagement of out of hours check-in is simply beyond unprofessional, with numerous signs requiring phoning an out of hours mobile that was out of service. Not to mention numerous signs giving conflicting or wholly incorrect information regarding late or 'touring' check-in directions.

For a so called hospitality business, there are simply too many red flags for me to ever consider staying at a Parkdean Resort again!
