Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, England
Grasbewachsener Zelt-Stellplatz mit Stromanschluss
Positiv Its a great place to get away from the crowds, 3 fields with 16 electrical outlets. Plenty of space between tents. Campsite is sited down a private drive about 200/300 metres away from the road. Hot showers cost £1 for five minutes. The area is full of wildlife, owls flying over at night, foxes calling and surrounding farmland. Andy is a great host with good local knowledge.
Negativ Apart from the Wood pigeons starting cooing at 430am. Can be a struggle in the morning using the showers as there are only two and it does take around 20 minutes to heat the water tank up if its been used up by the last user.

Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, England
Grasbewachsener Zelt-Stellplatz mit Stromanschluss
Positiv Friendly owner & two Labrador dogs.
Large pitches, excellent for family tents.
Long drive so the campsite is fairly quiet and away from the traffic noise.
Two (pay as you use £1) showers available and separate toilets, kept clean and always have toilet paper available.
Fairly centrally located with Scarborough about 35 minutes away.
WiFi available for the children.
Negativ Don't use sat nav or Google maps to find the campsite as it takes you down some small lanes unsuitable for larger vehicles. Best to drive to Pickering follow A170 and look for a turn on the left for Normanby and the campsite is on the left after you drive through the village.

Anderby, Lincolnshire, England
Grasbewachsener Zelt- oder Zeltanhänger-Stellplatz mit Stromanschluss
Positiv Everything, basic but clean. Owners (Anita & Barry) very friendly and welcoming. Free range eggs available on request from onsite hens. Easy to find, close to a main road but set in beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. Quiet and not commercialised like Skegness.
Negativ Water heater in the toilets is not powerful enough to keep up with demand at peak times.
