Negativ 2nd Pitch up booking to go wrong this year, but ended up with an upgrade so stayed in a 'Standard' instead. Entertainment team are all very young and in experienced and of a poor quality. Fire Show was dismal and dangerous given the weather conditions. Swimming pool was incredibly busy from 4pm onwards. Whole area has clearly seen better days and been busier in the past, many facilities are old, run down or closed.

Positiv Located on the edge of a village. Very small set up of two lodges and the railway house. Sarah made a point of coming to visit to introduce herself. Made a quirky final night destination.

Negativ Be careful if staying on Monday as most local shops and restaurants are all closed.

Positiv Perfect location for exploring Florence, Lucca and Pisa. Quiet remote location, friendly multi generational Italy family hosts. Fantastic food and wine tasting onsite with stunning views. Can purchase their wine and olive oil.

Negativ Our 25th booking with Pitch up and the first not to be received by the hosts! After a few tense moments we were offered alternative accommodation for our one night stop over.

Positiv Large shaded pitch, lovely pool. We stayed in our own tent, but the site has a fab range of glamping options. Arron was amazing with the children who did the high ropes course, which is very good value for money compared to the UK. Friendly reception staff.

Negativ Couldn't get tent pegs into the ground, so we tied the tent up by the guy ropes around trees/logs, which worked OK until there was a windy thunderstorm! Ground incredibly hard gravel to walk on even inside the tent, despite having three layers beneath us. Noisy at night. The pool and restaurant are open to the public, so there is no real way of knowing who is onsite.

Positiv Lovely pool and bar area, good sized pitches which are clearly marked out, friendly receptionist who spoke English.

Negativ Would have preferred toilet roll and soap to be provided, sadly too many mosquito's.

Positiv Difficult to like a site when you had personal belongings stolen and staff weren't concerned. Later in the week posters appeared around the site about others who were offering a reward for the return of their missing items! Fab location right on the beach. The facilities were regularly cleaned and the site is well maintained.

Negativ Belongings being stolen, site prone to flash flooding after thunderstorms, which flooded the tent. Regularly noisy throughout the night. Lack of security, anyone can walk in off of the beach as the gate is not staffed like the front entrance. The swimming pool is too large and deep for children to fully enjoy, although there is a paddling pool for really small children.

Positiv Really lovely, quiet, rural traditional french campsite. We loved our two-night stay in the safari tent. Friendly staff who spoke English.

Negativ Sadly the swimming pool was a little too cold for our liking.

Positiv Easy one night stop over on our way to and from Italy. Lovely lake and slides located next to site.

Negativ Tiny onsite shop so don't rely on buying supplies from there! Gates don't open until 7 am which is later than some sites for those needing to get an early start. Varying levels of customer service given between our two stays.

Positiv Made the perfect, cheap, one night stop over for our much longer journey. Although the caravan was situated behind the restaurant/bar this didn't cause any noise issues. Lovely location along the river, where you can hire kayaks etc. and a few local restaurants and a small town were in walking distance of this site.
