Positiv Good-sized hard-standing electric hook-up pitch with plenty of room for our campervan and awning. The camp bar and restaurant were excellent — couldn't fault either. Food was good and reasonably priced. Great location and an ideal base for trips out and exploring the surrounding area.

Negativ The washrooms are a little dated and could do with some updating. The water pressure in the showers was far too strong. The shower actually hit the back of the door, soaking towels and clothes left there. We found a similar issue with the water pressure in the pot-wash area. Overall, only relatively minor issues and we still enjoyed our stay.

Positiv 2nd visit to Popular Grove this weekend and once again it didn’t disappoint. Our first visit was during the opening weekend, this time we chose the Bank Holiday weekend and had another fantastic stay. The facilities are excellent, pitches are a great size with hard standing and electric hook-up, and despite the site being very busy, the layout never made it feel overcrowded which was brilliant. Really quiet and relaxing site with very helpful owners who are willing to help in any way they can. The boy spent the full 3 days fishing and absolutely loved it. Fishing was £10 per day per rod and definitely worth it. We’ll definitely be returning again.

Positiv “We survived Storm Dave!” 🌧️💪 Stayed here during some pretty rough weather and came out smiling. The pitch was generously sized, although it did take a bit of back-and-forth manoeuvring to get out again manageable, just something to be aware of. The standout for us was the cleanliness genuinely to military standards. The entire site was immaculate and the facilities were spotless throughout our stay. There’s a nearby pub (not associated with the site) that serves decent food, but be prepared tables get booked up quickly. WiFi on-site is okay, but we brought our own Ryoko device which performed better. TV reception isn’t great, so streaming via WiFi (mainly in the evenings) is your best bet. The surrounding area is fantastic for walks plenty to explore right from the site. One small but important tip: bring 50p coins, as the showers run at around 10 minutes per coin.Also only 2 showers in male and female facilities Overall, a great stay clean, well-kept, and in a brilliant location for exploring. Would definitely return.”

Positiv A lovely, quiet family-run site with a really welcoming atmosphere. It’s run by a very helpful lady who genuinely goes out of her way to make sure everyone is looked after nothing seemed too much trouble, which made the stay feel relaxed and friendly from the moment we arrived. Considering the amount of rain we’ve had this year, the grass areas were understandably quite wet, but that’s just the British weather and not a reflection on the site itself. The facilities were well maintained and the toilet block was clean and tidy. A couple of light bulbs were out, but as the site had only just reopened for the season, I’m sure those small bits will be sorted very quickly. The seasonal pitch owners were also very friendly and chatty, which added to the nice community feel of the place. And finally, the most important part for us the fishing. According to my son, it was excellent and well worth the visit, which says it all really. Overall, a great little site with a friendly feel. We’ll definitely be returning.

Positiv Nice quiet pitch hard standing , fishing lakes great for kids fishing hobby, toilet block clean and presentable very friendly reception. Even when we had an issue with electricity they came out straight away and resolved it , turned out to be our van (newbie van owners) you can hear the trains and occasional motorway traffic however didn't bother any of us

Negativ Toilet block is a walk away from pitch thats our only issue but understand why it's located where it is
