Positiv A dog friendly campsite with a dog walk at the side. It has great spacious pitches each with their own EHU. The site wardens were fantastic, very helpful and ensured that the whole site was clean and well maintained. Its very quiet apart from some road noise, but after a while you don't really hear it. The amenities are kept REALLY clean, and always had hot water and were warm. The washing up area was great and it had a washer, dryer, and even an iron. Would we recommended this campsite? Absolutely 💯 it's lovely and we had a great stay.

Negativ Toilet blocks are little dated, but we don't care what they look like. As long as they are warm, clean, well stocked with soap and toilet paper, with hot water...and these most definitely were.

Positiv The site was very quiet with good sized pitches, very well maintained and no issues with the EHU either. Owners are lovely and helpful, gave us all the information we needed and the toilet block was extremely clean and modern. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return.

Negativ The 'road' getting to the site is a little challenging. Quite a few pot holes, and uneven roads. But it's not the campsites fault, it's the local council and most of the roads we found around Huntingdon were the same. So driving carefully is a definite must, but on country roads, that should go without saying anyway. 👍

Positiv In a great position just outside Hornsea. The site is well kept and extremely clean and tidy. The Pod we stayed in was fantastic, it was organised, well equipped, and immaculately clean. We loved it and it was the perfect place to unwind for a few days. The site itself is also dog friendly, and we loved the coffee and cakes kiosk on a Saturday and Sunday morning. Even the ice cream van on an evening was a great idea.

Positiv Location was excellent and well signposted from Helmsley. The pitch sizes were really good, with electrical hook up close by that didn't trip at all during our stay. There were quite a few water stations around the site, so you didn't have to walk too far. Washing up facilities were fantastic, as was the laundry area. The toilets were fabulous, very clean and always stocked up with toilet paper. They even had fresh flowers in, which was a nice touch and the water was always hot. The shop pretty much had everything you may need, and the lovely touch of freshly baked cakes. There's a brilliant enclosed field to walk dogs, and lots of play areas for children. It also felt safe with the security barrier locked at night and the wardens doing regular patrols. We also found all the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Negativ So a couple of things... We had an ant infestation at our pitch which was number 58, we tried spraying to stop them but it didn't help. I suspect there was an ants nest close by. It's the summer and these things happen. Our pitch was next to some steps leading to the elevated grass pitches, and it was very noisy with people walking back and forth to the toilet block, shop and washing facilities. We were woken up at 7am on a Sunday morning by a child bouncing a ball up and down the steps. A bit of consideration would have been nice, but not the campsites fault. The family bathroom/disability bathroom needs some tlc, it's not as nice as the main toilets. Plus my wife had a few issues with no hot water in the sink. So she had to resort to the main ladies toilets, which was a bit tricky with a broken ankle trying to get up and down the steps. But she wanted hot water so she had to tough it out. Lastly, there were a few children on bikes racing at speed down the decline which goes around the bend near our pitch. They were trying to do 'skids' and one nearly hit my wife because she couldn't move out of the way quick enough, and they couldn't see around the bend. So maybe a few signs around the site asking parents to stop their children doing that would be good, otherwise there will be accident at some point and someone will get hurt.

Positiv A very well kept site, immaculately clean and I mean spotless. Lots of hot water, great facilities and the pitch sizes are nicely sectioned. The couple that manage Tall Trees are fantastic, so friendly. We were even helped to pitchup which for us is unusual, normally we are left to our own devices. So at first we were a bit 'off' with him until we realised he was being helpful. So apologies for that, and thank you for a wonderful stay. 👍
