Positiv Secluded and quiet. There was a little road noise but only during the day. Reviews have said the facilities were basic, which they are but they're clean. It's overall a nice setting and the price is good

Negativ It's a shame the pool only opened after june because it was very hot and would have been very welcome

Nous sommes conscient qu'avec les fortes chaleurs, la fraîcheur de l'eau aurait été apprécié. Malheureusement, de gros travaux d'entretiens ont eu lieu sur la piscine et sont en cours de finalisation. Ces travaux ne nous permettaient pas d'ouvrir la piscine, par anticipation et nous en sommes désolé. La sécurité de nos clients étant une priorité. Bien cordialement,

Positiv Lovely location. It was quite remote and really picturesque. There was a pub very close to the site, which looked lovely but we didn't get chance to try. About 15 minutes from Alton Towers. The owners were really friendly and helpful.

Positiv We went with 2 boys aged 11 and 8 and they loved it. Lots of other children to play with. Bouncy castles and hay bales to play on. During Saturday they had bigger bouncy castles which you could buy a wrist band to use between midday and 8pm. Originally booked as a 1 night stopover up to Northumberland but decided to stay an extra night. Very helpful staff too. There were reviews of it being noisy earlier in the year but we didn't experience any of that.

Positiv Great location for accessing the wide range of walking options in and around Castleton. It was basic, but to be fair, even the portaloos were clean.

Negativ The lane to the site is quite tricky, especially if confronted with someone coming the other way

Positiv Good sized flat pitches. My children really liked the play area. The bar and food prices weren't overpriced. The toilets were clean

Negativ The touring field is quite far from the toilet block No washing up facilities (that we saw) the showers in the toilet block were very clean but not great. The ones at the side of the pool were far better and easier with 2 very young children
