Positiv Nice easy access. Level ground. Pretty big field and not rammed in like sardines. Good facilities, showers, cafe, utility area with fridges, freezers, washing machines. Friendly owners, helpful with advice on pubs serving good food.

Negativ I know it was the busiest week of the year (August bank holiday) but we were crammed in with very little space. No real place for (grand)kids to play.

Positiv Nice site, not too busy. Massive pitches. Clean facilities. Friendly pub with good food. Great views. Friendly staff.

Negativ Not really a dislike, but pitches on a bit of slope so bring levellers.

Positiv This was a great little site. Good location and very reasonable pricing. Great views and not far from local towns. The site is on a slope so campers and caravans with levellers should be ok. We were in a folding camper and once levelled had no problems but tents might find it a bit more awkward. Facilities are basic but cannot complain for what we paid. Owner was friendly and helpful. We will almost certainly use again.

Positiv Very little. Park facilities for kids. Nothing else.

Negativ Our pitch was next to the road, separated by trees but it sounded like we were parked on the side of the M6. Lorries trundled down the road at all hours. Constant flow of cars and motor bikes (noisy motor bikes) Had trouble sleeping. Not sure if you can request a pitch away from the road, but check before you book. Skip emptying at 7:30am. No consideration for young kids in bed. I wouldn’t recommend this site.

Positiv Easy access, plenty of space on the pitch. Picnic benches provided. Toilets nice and clean. Was peaceful till …………..our grandkids arrived!😂. Only two shower cubicles but these seemed sufficient as we didn’t have to wait or queue. Friendly staff and great site if you are into horses.

Positiv This is a small but lovely site. The view was to die for. Nice friendly owners who kept site clean and tidy. Showers and toilets well kept and clean. The animals keep the kids amused. Would have stayed longer if they had vacancy and will definitely be back. Already booked a long weekend next year.

Negativ Overpriced. No power hook ups. Described as trying to stay close to nature but hiked up price for minimal facilities is just profiteering. Not allowed bbq or fire pit by your tent. Have to use “ communal” area which is usually nowhere near your pitch, kills enjoyment of the facility. Definitely won’t be back

Vom Platzbetreiber: We noted that you and the friends you came with were disappointed that no fires are allowed on pitches. The reasons were Politely explained to your friends and no exceptions can be permitted. In addition the bank holiday is a more hazardous time for fires. The compromise this year is to have BBQs in a designated area away from tents. Thus avoiding, as much as possible, peoples irritation of smoke, smell, sparks and fire spread. This is for the safety of all. Incidentally, after many years of trading we do hope that we can one day make a profit. Pitch up, under important notes, states there is no electricity on site. We are disappointed this ‘killed your enjoyment‘ of the environment.

Positiv Stayed for just a long weekend and enjoyed it. Nice tidy site with friendly warden. Thought only single showers would cause queue but was wrong. Lots to see and do locally and good Harvester nearby. Will definitely visit again.
