Positiv Location great, with amazing views, spacious fields, with lovely, stone walled surroundings. Brilliant price - we’ve paid double for worse sites

Negativ Really disappointed to see that open fires and pits were permitted during a week when a government warning had been issued re fires and heat. We had groups either side of with fire pits going, and didn’t feel particularly safe. Also disappointed that we didn’t see or hear from any management during our stay. This was our second stay here - during our previous visit last year, the manager chap couldn’t do enough for us, checking on us regularly, taking kids to see the lambs, even offered a lift to the pub - this time they were nowhere to be seen, even at check in. Bit of a shame really…

Positiv Really sweet little site - well kept, very safe for children and dogs, and great location for walks and pubs! Owners couldn’t do enough to help us, will definitely go back. Bit of a slope, but we didn’t mind it at all

Positiv Everything! Stunning views, watching the sunset over the sea view was something else... great location to explore, best toilet and shower blocks we have ever used on a camp site, unbelievably quiet at all times, and a host that couldn't do enough for you... can't wait to go back next summer :)

Positiv Large open spaces, fantastic for kids to play, staff very friendly, good facilities, toilets, shop and pop up pizza van all amazing!

Negativ The site was a bit noisy past 2200, but settle down soon after

Positiv Lovely hosts, loved how quiet it was, really pretty and ideally placed to visit local attractions. We rented hammocks and even saw a heron 10 feet from our tent!

Negativ Slight hill from the car park down to the pitch - but trolleys were provided and it added to the adventure :)

Negativ Wouldn't recommend for children - very small, quiet field. caravans can be quite close even if opposite side of field. Our children got asked to be quiet a couple of times, by other guests, when they were playing cricket in middle of field at 7pm...

Positiv Fantastic spot and well kept site. Lovely flat grass, with plenty of space around pitches. Ideal for exploring Coniston etc. Excellent pub within walking distance - would highly recommend!

Negativ Portaloo toilets were quite full at the end of a busy August Bank hol!
