Positiv Louise was a great host, was brill stopping on a working farm, the carriage we stopped in was cool, we declined any logs for the log burner as was warm enough until it came to night time - wish we’d bought some and lit it as was a tad cold but our fault. Great quiet location but a popular spot. Would recommend and stay again.

Positiv Great location, friendly owners, clean & tidy site. If you’re wanting food - plan ahead and book, we saw bistro meadowside and the menu looked amazing but struggled to get a table, ended up at George & dragon which was good.

Negativ Paying for showers but mainly no change machine to be able to pay for them to with specific coins required. (20p’s)

Positiv A great, quiet well kept site, large serviced pitches, clean toilet and shower facilities with next to no walking distance to them. Nice and secure, we liked the security gate on access too. We really liked the site and it’s location just 1 downside to it unfortunately for us.

Negativ A huge No for us is the top up meters, we stopped 2 nights, checked in late afternoon the sat, left the power off all day Sunday as was at a wedding and had it on in the evening and spent £20, (money wasn’t an object but the hassle was) with being woken up in the middle of the night to beeping from a power cut due to it running out - we’ll not be back for this reason, we couldn’t relax properly for not knowing if it would need topping up or not, didn’t want to over pay and leave a fortune in credit on the meters, heating was kept on low Inc gas mix to reduce electric even more - considering it was the coldest weekend of the year so far too… The owner should put the price up per night (which is currently cheap) and scrap these meters and we’d be back and think others would agree. Other than this we couldn’t fault the site.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thank you for your review, regarding the meters I thought long and hard as to which way to go, my tarrif went from 15p/kwh to 59p which left me with little choice really,I thought the fairest way was for guests to pay for what they use,I have had alot that haven't used any or very little which would have been unfair to charge them say £32/night,my tarrif goes down to 29p/kwh next march which should make a big difference

Positiv Great all round site. Easy access, welcoming friendly staff, good views, good pitches. We’ll be back.

Negativ Not a dislike but very tight entry from the side road upto the side with a caravan. Managed fine but to some could be off putting.
