Positiv Everything!!! Firstly the friendly owners. Lovely people. Very knowledgeable on the local area and things to do and see. We didn't move from the site as the weather was fantastic to just chill out in. Then the site!! Wow. Massive pitches, the toilets and showers are superb. There's a room with a fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle. WiFi code and gate code were given to us on arrival. The site is super clean and tidy. The scenery is beautiful and you get the most fantastic sunset. This is the nicest site we've ever stayed at. It won't be our only visit. We loved it. 💛

Positiv Peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Spotless toilet and shower facilities. Washing up sinks? grey water and chemical toilet disposal all spotlessly clean. It's very remote but some lovely walks and a lazy weekend was perfect.

Positiv Loved it. Lovely grass electric pitch. Beautifully manicured grass. Washing up, elson waste, grey waste, fresh water, showers, toilets. Everything you need. 5 minutes walk to supermarket and a couple minutes more into town for pubs and shops. We had beautiful weather too. It's definitely one on my visit again list.

Positiv Lovely campsite. Got to pick our own pitch (Electric). We opted for just across from washing up area and showers and toilets. Perfect. It's on a slight slope but we had levellers for the camper-van so no problem. 2 lots of toilets and showers in different parts of the campsite. One lot on the field and the other at the back of the pub. They're dated but work perfectly well. (hot water 👍) Had a couple of meals in the pub and they were both delicious! (Wednesday night carvery is beauts) All in all a fab Monday to Friday, relaxing in the sun (and clouds).

Positiv Everything about the star inn is perfect. Flat pitches, beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, fantastic pub. The site was full but never had to wait for toilet or shower. Everywhere kept spotlessly clean. Came last year and we'll come again next year (hopefully)

Positiv Everything. Beautiful pub, fabulous flat pitch. Toilets, Showers, washing up areas just fantastic. We had amazing weather which always helps, but even if it hadn't been nice the campsite/pub would have still been all of the above. It's perfect! I will definitely be back next year. Positiv Smashing site for the bank holiday weekend with our two grandsons (8&4) Check in was smooth and friendly. Directed towards our pitch On a slight hill. (we'd not got a wedge so everything felt a little downhill) Our fault for not taking a wedge but it didn't ruin the weekend, we'd know for next time. Very clean toilet and shower area, washing up areas. Outside bar and pizzas. Little play area for the kids. Climbing frame, swings and slide. Field of animals sheep, goats ducks. All in all a fab weekend, added bonus was a bouncy castle. Found out later that it was a birthday party!! Oppps sorry to gate crash but no one said anything and all the kids played together and had great fun. We didn't go into the pub as we had the boys with us but we'd go again by ourselves and try the pub next time. Very close to Foxfield railway 5 mins in the car, which pleased the boys very much Also loved the chimes on the hour from the tower clock. Not sure of the time they started maybe 8/9am or but I never heard them after 10pm.

Negativ Nothing. It's a great friendly site. With fab amenities. Nothing more needed.

Positiv Lovely big pitch with electric. Clean toilets (and warm too) near to the bins and water/grey water/ Elsan point. Showers with toilets over the other side, very clean. Play area for kids. Friendly site with a fantastic pub with great food on site. Will definitely be back. (preferably when it's not raining! British weather.......)

Positiv Our second stay here at The Cross Keys. Fab little site, at the back of a great pub and restaurant. It's always really busy with diners, drinkers and campers. Very nice food and drink. Red hot showers and washing up water. Can't ask for more than that. We'll be back

Positiv What a great find! Lovely small site at the rear of the pub. Flat pitch with electric. Toilet, shower block, washing up area all spotlessly clean with red hot water. Had a meal in the pub which was beautiful! Nice pint of Guinness too. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Definitely one of my favourites. Will not be our only visit here.

Positiv Wide open site with plenty of room. Very flat right on the edge of a cliff. Club on site (across the road). Didn’t use it but it looked and sounded great. Toilets clean. Didn’t use the showers. With it being on top of the cliff it was very windy!

Negativ My only niggle was the toilets. Only one each of male and female and 1 shower. It was very busy on the weekend we went and the queue for showers and toilets was long. Also the road is right next to the site and busy, so a bit traffic noise.

Positiv Really nice site. Lovely clean toilet and shower block with washing up area. Big pitches and nice picnic benches. Great play area for kids in the middle of the field that can be seen from all pitches. Grandkids loved it. There’s a couple of fishing ponds attached to the site. It must be really popular as there was no pegs empty. Great site.

Positiv Everything. Electric pitch. Shower block. Hot water. A bit dated but functional. Washing up facilities again with hot water. Elsan point , grey water disposal, drinking water tap. On a small field behind a gem of a pub. Lovey food and drink. Shop across the road in the shell garage All in all a fab site. Would definitely use again.

Positiv Very clean. Wide pitches. Lots of space. Great showers. Functional washing up area and elsan disposal. Lovely club house on site with great atmosphere. No food served but there’s a takeaway that will deliver to site should you need food (pizza and burgers).

Negativ Only minus is not a good phone and internet signal.

Positiv Everything. Just stayed 1 night on electric grass pitch (17) very large pitches. Welcomed by a lovely lady who open the gates for us and then passed us to her husband (also lovely) who showed us to our pitch. Clean toilet block with 3 ladies (don’t know about mens) There’s showers ( £1) but didn’t use them. Elsan disposal on site. Lovely little lake in the middle of site with ducks and fishing. Lovely to hear a couple of boys every time they caught one shout their family over to look. (16 at the last count) There is a pub next door (car park in between so no noise) Would definitely go back. Our stay was blessed with fab weather and a full site. Can’t ask for much more than that

Positiv Lovely site. Easy booking system. Sent a text the morning of our stay to tell us pitch number. Big pitch all near the toilet block and shower block just a bit further down near the pub. Very clean. On the end of toilet block is washing up facilities with hot water. All very friendly. It was very busy with families all having fun, just how it should be. There’s a small climbing frame and swings in the bottom corner for the kids. There’s a grass bank that leads to the river Ouse with lovely spaces to walk a dog. We booked a meal in the pub for Saturday evening and wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful meal at a great price. We will definitely return next year
