Positiv First time here as I headed north from Llangedwyn to Aberdeen so great location for an overnighter just off the motorway. Nice friendly receptionist with plenty of help with local eateries / walk to the shop information etc Showers are powerful and lovely and hot ( no annoying button to push every 5 seconds ) spotlessly clean and warm - yes they are a little dated but for 20p what do you want chandeliers and piped music. Plenty to do in the area so whilst great for a stopover I will definitely return for a longer stay.

Positiv We have stayed here a few times now and this year was just as good. Great owners / managers, clean facilities and nicely spaced pitches. Probably be back again next year !

Positiv Only stayed one night en route north from Seville but it was good enough with an easy check in at the hotel reception. Pitches were a good size and the toilet block sufficient for our needs. Food was available in the hotel if you wanted. We only used it as a stopover but we would return to visit the city on another trip.

Positiv Friendly site, some good walks for the doggies and into Masham.

Negativ Rough around the edges and in the middle. Might be new owners trying to get on top of things but at the weekend we visited it was busy with only 3 Poo loos and showers between so many blokes it was a tad wiffy.

Positiv Our third visit to this lovely site. Plenty of space between pitches, great facilities and the Engine House is the icing on the cake. Our dogs love the great walks from the site so I have no doubt we will be back next year. Whilst we rate the site 10/10 the number of dog owners who seem to think it’s normal for twixy and pinkaboo to yapp at anything that moves is becoming tiresome. If your little bundle of yapping does it then buy a screen and hide the little treasure away please.

Positiv Lovely location, plenty of excellent walks from the site, highly recommend for anyone with dogs. This is an old fashioned site so the loos etc have the odd cobweb but they are clean and functional so I’m not sure why the odd person gripes.

Personally I like spiders ,so I never move them on, We were at one time on the tourist board scheme 4 star ,a lady checker,from them came to look around , didn’t like the cobwebs ,said she would have to downgrade us ,so after a slight row! I left the scheme. Basil

Positiv Nice site and clean facilities, we enjoyed lots of local walks with our dogs especially to the local pub which was excellent and provided a local dog friendly walking map. Yes you have some road noise but it didn’t bother us at all.

Negativ Pitches could do with a gravel refresh as they are now part gravel and part mud / grass.

Positiv Excellent site, we had been on a long tour of Norway so treated ourselves to a pitch with a bathroom pod which was a real bonus. Nicely spaced out pitches, good clean facilities and a decent restaurant on site. Top up with goodies at the local Lidl !

Positiv Easy to find and an ideal stopover if heading either to or from Spain as we did. Very nice people and good facilities including good clean showers and toilets. Lovely walks from the campsite which our dogs really enjoyed. We will return and hope to stay a few longer

Positiv Lovely friendly site with level pitches and good clean facilities. A short walk from town and with some really nice walks from the site. If you are a keen walker then have a look at the cheddar walking website which has a variety of walks available to print off if you need directions.
