Positiv: Wonderful hosts in a beautiful location. We were welcomed by Marc as soon as we arrived who showed round the site. The site is rural with an array of animals from peacocks to horses. We loved wondering along the olive groves with our dog and the wine was fab.

Negativ: Not really a dislike about this site.

Positiv: Other reviews talk about the warmth and friendliness of the site. They’re not exaggerating. It immediately felt like a family, with pets. Lots of pets which provided endless opportunities to interact or just watch their funny little ways. People mention the limited toilets and bathrooms but mostly it just isn’t a problem. I am so interested to see the site once the plans have been completed.
Walks and cycle rides to enjoy the nature were wonderful and a testament to organic land management. In fact you really didn’t need to leave the site to see 65 species of birds! Morning yoga was a joy and the swimming pool was excellent. The BBQs were fabulous and a chance to sample the Monte das Louzeiras wines, peri peri, salt and olive oil. We’ve left with loads of gifts.
Mark and Anna are fantastic and genuine hosts and their beautiful daughter is a delight. Everyone that works there is invested and we were too by the end of our chilled fortnight. Thank you.

Positiv: We absolutely loved our stay at this campsite and only wished we could stay longer. The whole atmosphere is one of peace, quiet and authenticity. The owner Mark was so welcoming giving us a tour, pointing out all the animals to the children and making us feel at home explaining where we could explore and suggesting we pick salad from the salad wall in the courtyard. We ordered a bottle of their wine and the service was outstanding, he bought it over chilled with glasses. The children absolutely loved spending time with beautiful Luna the doggy and playing with all the cats. Mark also allowed the children to look at some newborn baby kittens which was an amazing experience! Thankyou so much we can’t wait to come back!

Negativ: I think the improvements to the toilets as other people have said will be amazing but it didn’t ruin our trip :)

Positiv: Adorámos a hospitalidade e o espaço em geral, a generosidade e ajuda dos anfitriões, os animais e toda a envolvência. Espaço com um enorme potencial para ser ainda mais cativante no futuro.

Negativ: O que não gostámos foram tudo aspetos menores e que em nada estragaram a experiência. Os proprietários já os têm identificados e a seu tempo irão resolver, nomeadamente devido à chuva alguma lama e o número de casas de banho.

Positiv: The ambiance and friendliness of the site, low level formalities and plenty of pitch space, the local area is also worth spending time in especially Serpa. The site owners are a wonderful family. The diverse range of animals who live at the site are an attraction in themselves too, a real experience of a Portuguese working olive grove and grape farm.

Negativ: Not a dislike at all, the plan for more WC and shower facilities will be a real bonus (when completed) to future guests.

Positiv: Everything about the place.
Amazing, helpful, interesting people, always had time for us and we learned a lot about them snd their business (olives, wine..) and about Portugal.
We camped in the olive grove, max 10 vans, loos, shower, water, elec etc.... indoor and outdoor communal spaces to use, handy if raining, great to wash up in proper kitchen area.
Great cycling, birds (and that doesn't include the peacocks, chickens and geese here), countryside, small towns around.
Peaceful, gentle environment. Don't come here if you want shops and restaurants.
Main thing though is the people, Marc and Analuis. Wonderful hosts.

Positiv: Absolutely loved it here. Mark and Louisa could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Despite the cold and rain we enjoyed walking through the olive groves, sampling their wine and honey. There are chickens, cats and all manner of animals here roaming freely and our dog thoroughly enjoyed it! Sad to leave, made some friends with the volunteers too and would definitely come back

Negativ: Possibly need another toilet and shower but Mark has this on his agenda

Positiv: What a beautiful site and the owners are such a lovely couple. When we arrived the peacocks, chickens and their dog were roaming free around the pitches. There is also an ostrich and a horse in a separate field. There is a room with eating tables and washing up facilitys. The family will light the wood burner in the evenings and with get you home produced wine, which is very nice, and will join in the conversation and made you feel part of the family.

Negativ: You have got to remember your caravan is on a farm and when it rain it does get muddy
