This laidback Puntarenas site right on the beach is the kind of place where you can indulge your inner sloth by meandering from sun lounger to bar to siesta, or feed your adrenaline-seeking side with days of rainforest ATV tours, ziplining and surfing the big waves.
Lots of these activities can be sorted through the place itself: it’s got a tour desk on site, along with a surf club that’s got kit for hire and instructors on hand to help those that haven’t mastered the art yet. A handy location close to Jaco’s main strip means that other outings can be easily organised through local tour operators too.
If you’ve got something a bit more low-key in mind, stay on site for swims and sunbathing at the pool, yoga sessions at the wellness area or a pummelling in the massage room. A shared kitchen is on hand for those who’d like to go self-catering, and there’s also a restaurant and a beachfront bar for tasty meals plus chilled beers and cocktails.
Easy beach access means you can take a swim at any hour of the day, play games of beach volleyball or join barefoot silent raves in the sand to dance the night away… although you’ve also got the option of flopping out in the cinema room if you’ve run out of energy.

Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe
There’s always something going on in Jaco – the town’s well known for both its activities and its buzzing nightlife. Surfing’s a popular pick, of course, either on the beginner-friendly waves of Jaco beach or the bigger swells of Playa Hermosa (10 minutes’ drive).
About 20 minutes away from town is Carara National Park, a place of mountain peaks and pristine rainforest. There are lots of ways to explore: join guided hikes, saddle up for horseback outings or gear up for something more powerful on an ATV driving tour. You can also see it from above while ziplining, or ride the tram at Rainforest Adventures Jaco (10 minutes’ drive).
For close-up animal sightings, look out for crocodiles on a boat trip up the Tarcoles river or drop in on the rescue centre Neo Fauna (10 minutes). Or, if you’d just like to hang out on a white sandy beach for the day, head half an hour north to the stunning Playa Blanca.
