Positiv Lovely farm, had the campsite to just myself and my dog where we found a nice flat spot with a picnic bench. Hot showers, washing up area and toilets. Picnic benches dotted around. Beautiful scenery to wake up to as the sunrise rises over the mountains/hills visible from the campsite

Negativ The shower was full of insects but honestly expected when camping so no complaints!

Positiv Fabulous view from the flat pitches that have been cleverly constructed in the hillside field. It was quite quiet as it was off season.

Negativ The facilities are minimal- 2 toilets, one shower and 2 cold water washing up sinks. Perfectly adequate for our two night stay.

Positiv Stunning views and a great location for walking routes.

Negativ The facilities were poor both in availability ( advertised with drying room fridges freezers WiFi none of which present) the bins had mess all around them the toilet block melt damp had a hole in the floor in one cubicle only cold water for the basin the shower was an experience- great if you are a fan of spiders and Lino peeling of the wall

Positiv Location & views of the Brecons.
A very helpful lady on the phone, when I couldn't find the reception.

Negativ A mainly steep field with a few levelled bits for pitches. The pitches have been done with a massive digger and left the soil very knobbly, its like laying on a heap of rubble!

The one (and only!) disgusting shower had a broken door lock, a snapped off handle, and a large hole in the ceiling.

The two loos weren't good either, only one had had paper, at the time of my visit. Only one basin for you to wash your hands in after using the loo and the same for you to wash your face in when you wake up and wash your teeth.

The amount of crap laying around is shameful, like 4 boats, cars, heaps of rotting logs, farm equipment, a lorry artic back and a 60 foot canal barge, yup, thats not a typo error, a real canal barge rotting away. Nice!

Negativ No clear instructions on arrival or check in. Intermittent water supply in sinks and toilets. Dirty facilities. Narrow road uphill on arrival.

Positiv Beautiful site with amazing views. Lovely people running it. Definitely had a working farm feel but peaceful and plenty of space. Eggs and meat available to buy which were delicious.

The top shower block has 1 hot shower/2 toilets and second toilet block on the farmstead for busier times has 2 hot showers and 2 toilets and there are 3 more toilets in our top field. BINS- We have 10 x 240lts recycling bins as in Wales it is law to recycle all that can be, these are emptied weekly plus we have one 660ltr general for non recyclable waste, just at the entrance maybe missed? Positiv Disappointing customer service and lack of follow-up

Unfortunately, I was unable to use my booked pitch because I mistakenly went to the wrong campsite. I contacted the campsite by email twice to explain what had happened, but received no response.

After waiting for over a month, I called them directly. The response was very positive, and I was assured that my issue had not been forgotten. However, despite that conversation, I have still not received any further communication, refund, partial refund or goodwill gesture.

I understand that mistakes happen, and I was hoping the campsite would show some understanding and at least follow up on the matter. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through has been disappointing.

As I never actually stayed at the campsite, I cannot comment on its facilities or the quality of the pitches. This review reflects my experience with customer service and the handling of my booking issue.

Positiv - really friendly staff, super helpful
- cats!
- fresh eggs and produce to buy on site
- location is great - although if you want to hike to pen y fan recommend downloading the ordinance survey
- nice view from the campsite
- handy location

Negativ - toilets and showers were basic but decent enough, there are 2 toilets and a shower in the main field, then another shower and 2 toilets a little further down in the barn
