Positiv Unfortunately there was nothing that we can honestly say that we liked .We were booked in for 2 nights but only stayed for one.

Negativ Everything was scruffy . The showers and toilets were not clean.
This is advertised as ‘Glamping’which is a completely untrue statement.We would never stay again .

Positiv Lady working behind the bar was lovely. Some of the other staff were ok but a bit grumpy! Effort was made with a singer in the bar but it was so empty in the pub we felt a little uncomfortable so retreated back to our pitches.

Negativ Whilst we were aware the site was by a road and rail track, the road noise was relentless all night and should be considered if you are a light sleeper.

The site itself seems very run down, and I note the owners are working on improving. I think there are some quick fixes which would give a better overall impression such as tidying up all the areas of stuff in each corner. There was pile of toys etc in one corner of the garden that looked like it was more fit for the bin. Why not make an actual obvious play area if this is oriented around kids?

The facilities were not good. Some had some fresh paint on and you can see some effort is being made to tidy them up. But they were filthy. There is really no excuse for cleanliness being so poor.

Please remove the grate from toilet emptying point! Otherwise it just acts as a filter for anything non liquid!! Not nice.

We are in process of renovating etc and this can be a slow process. We do have a childrens play area with swings etc the toys mentioned are for smaller children who cannot play on the bigger swings.
We will take your other comments into consideration

Positiv Pub owners were pleasant enough

Negativ The pitch was very close to a main road which was busy all night. We didn't get a lot of sleep.
There was a lot of discarded things laying around the site. Ie. Broken tables, kids toys.
It all seemed very run down

Vom Platzbetreiber: Hi Dawn, we were made aware of the broken picnic table yesterday and have now rectified this, unfortunately things get broken and as its quite a big and busy family site we don't always see these things straight away. the toys are for the children to play with who visit our site as previously stated we are family based campsite so apologies if this upset you. Positiv Cheap on Offas Dyke path, clean toilets and shower (only 1)

Negativ On sunny bank holiday weekend the site was crowded, tents far too close together, there should be marked pitches like most sites and we had very noisy group next to us load music and foul language into the early hours. Road noise is also a negative l.

Positiv Flat site, clean freshly painted showers and toilet block's. Friendly welcome and only 10 monute walk to a shop

Positiv Very convenient location on Offa's Dyke Path, very helpful landlady, tidy pitch with useful benches and covered areas - always a bonus when you're backpacking. Toilets were recently decorated and adequate.

Negativ Close to road and railway, but that was known before I arrived.
