Positiv Great location, lots to do in the area, kayaking, cycling, horse riding.

Negativ Facilities could do with an update, but everything u need was there

Positiv It is in a lovely area great walks and the people at the campsite were lovely and also the people of Drumshambo. We will definitely be back

Negativ The facilities need a good cleaning that is Toilets and showers

Positiv Location and Price were great.

Negativ The kitchen was dirty.
The toilets were dirty -mens worse than womens.
There was dog poo on the pitch sites.
There is no policing of loud noise and drinking after 10 pm despite the 10 pm curfew.
Broken down half sunken boats in the lake were unsightly and likely dangerous.
We had items stolen from the freezer.

Negativ Worse place I ever stayed the toilets were filthy, the showers were filthy, rubbish everywhere music all night until 6.30am on 2 nights and until 3am on the Sunday night
I have never seen a Worse place or stayed in anything like it before it was also impossible to move your car to exit the site and if there was an emergency there was no through way for emergency services
I will never ever stay in it again and will never recommen it to anyone.

Positiv Nothing.

Negativ We stayed for 3 nights, the place was overcrowded and facilities were filthy. We paid for electricity, and it kept tripping, so we had no power for half the trip. There is nothing for the kids to do. It could really be a lovely spot if upgrades were made, like a playground, shop, massive overall on the facilities, Mark out pitches so that when you go off and come back there's not a caravan parked were you had sat outside your tent for breakfast.

Positiv The acceptance and the welcome, at such short notice.
Great location, wonderful scenery and all within a few minutes walk to town. A couple of nice pubs in Drumshanbo.

Negativ Overcrowding, albeit on a Bank Holiday weekend.
Noise levels and kids running about until all hours of the morning. Part of my motorhome was broken (minor damage but nonetheless, frustrating.
Sanitation/Washroom facilities limited, unkept, with limited hot water for showering.
Look! I'm not a moan. I've roughed it in the past and I love to see people enjoying themselves, especially kids (it brings me back to my youth), but lordy Lord. Maybe it was these peoples customs back home but when you see the 'strict' rules and regulations for such places being blatantly disregarded, and no action taken, it tends to place such establishments way down on your bucket list.
I'd be willing to give it another go, on an off peak season. The scenery alone is a factor that will draw you back.
