Positiv Lovely views, across Somerset levels as far as Hinckley, nice walks in area. Simple to book, easy to find. Site is on the edge of a small hamlet nice to stroll around. Pitches were hard standing, a benefit if weather was wet. Would have been top class if grass around pitches was cut more. Liked the wilded part of the site, good for wild life, had a couple of relatively tame wrens hopping around the pitch. Local pubs within walking distance for an average walker.

Negativ Not a lot, location great, grass around pitches would be better if mown more frequently.

Negativ Next to no lighting the solar lights do not work near gate, bins or waste areas. The ground is very uneven and uncared for, the lack of lighting on a night is quite dangerous. Not disabled friendly at all.

The water points are ridiculous, next to no pressure and took over an hour to fill the motor home water tank. The lack of pressure is also by the waste water chemical area, which as a result makes it smell bad. In summer this would be horrible.

Site says no commercial vehicles but site looked more like a business or commercial storage yard than a holiday park. With a gardeners pick up, fish mongers and a LGV truck in the corner.

Very difficult to find, drove around for an hour, no signposting and number was only found on Google, tried calling owner who eventually answered after 25 minutes.

Not for us. Especially for the money, not a good experience

Positiv Very basic, Peaceful site, great views, just needs a bit of a tidy up, probably better in summer.

Positiv Nicely situated.
Peaceful, clean & tidy.
Had everything we needed (we have a motorhome so don’t need a toilet or shower).
Lovely area for our dogs to stretch their legs.
Surrounded by fields with public footpaths but due to time of year, the ground was too wet/boggy to go far.
Got a little lost right at the last moment but called the owner who was super friendly & helpful.
Liked that we were left alone.
Only 1/2 others on site during our 3 night stay.
Perfect for us and will be returning.

Positiv Simple basic super quiet site. Easy access.

Positiv The peace and tranquility of the site. We watched deer in the field, bird of prey overhead, foxes and rabbits. Although off the beaten track the site was easily accessible in our 6.7m converted lorry, even down narrow lanes. The villages of Wedmore and Mark were only 10 minutes drive away and Cheddar was only 15 minutes and had all you could need including a small supermarket and a revolution launderette. As for value we were only in the area out of necessity for family business and trying to find a site with hardstanding, water, waste and electric in August for less than £40 per night around either Burnham or Weston-Super-Mare is not easy and we though £26.00 was great value. We felt safe and relaxed here and very welcomed by the owner.
