Also lane leading up to site from Combe Martin is narrow and no passing places our van got scratched on the bushes having to give way

Positiv Nice view, quiet campsite and good facilities.

Negativ Only very minor comment was confusion about where to park up, we left our number in a space only to find someone else had parked there when we returned later. Not a biggie as there was plenty of other spots though.

Positiv Lovely campsite with valley view and glimpses of the sea. Facilities were clean. Owner that we met was very friendly and helpful. Large open spaces when we were there on a mid August weekend. Noise was kept to a minimum. After 10pm owner does patrol for noisier groups. About 1 mile and a half walk to Combe Martin beach downhill which means its uphill on the way back!.

Negativ Toilets and showers in our field were not to our taste ,we booked 2 nights but only stayed one ,just not our taste

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thank you for your review. I'm unsure which field you were in but we try to cater for all . In one field we have compost toilets and in the other we have traditional flushing toiets.

Positiv This is a campsite of my dreams! Lots of space , good views all round and fantastic facilities. The owner/managers were so friendly and helpful delivering logs for the fire pit and checking on us regularly. The WC and showers are very well maintained and shower was hot and consistent. Additionally there was a sitting room with electricity for charging phones - ideal for our teenage children. The site is easy to locate although Road is narrow.

Negativ The site has a limited number of flat spaces, although in mid August at the weekend it was not at all crowded so we found space easily.

Positiv Views were great, plenty of space. Flushable loos which were kept nice and clean. And the showers were great and also kept clean. Washing up station, freezer for your ice packs. And a bonus was standard plug and usb socket chargers in a little room with sofas should you need to sit out any adverse weather.
Logs can be bought from staff, who were super friendly and up for a chat. Not the best logs, but still when they are banned in many places they were pretty chill about it. The staff also were present without interference and friendly you don’t feel ‘watched’.
Overall and nice chill basic, clean site. with everything you need. Can even get a taxi to avoid the slog of a walk up the hill from the village!

Positiv Location was perfect for a quiet couple of nights away

Negativ We had the displeasure to be approached by a man who worked there. He said I'd this your dog. We replied yes . He literally just said you need a lead. But I'm a rude way. That was enough for us to want to leave.
Other than the rude member of staff it was lovely

Having reviewed the matter, I would like to explain that our site operates a strict policy requiring all dogs to be kept on a lead at all times. This rule is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors and other animals on the site, and is an important condition of using our facilities.
Our site manager was carrying out their responsibility by reminding you of this requirement. While we appreciate that being approached in these circumstances can sometimes feel uncomfortable,it is essential that the rule is applied consistently and fairly to everyone.
If you feel the manner in which the reminder was given fell below the standard you would expect, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention . At the same time, we ask for your understanding and cooperation in complying with any dog-on-lead policy .

Positiv Amazing views, friendly welcome and clean facilities. Lots of space in the field for children to play.

Negativ Great place when the weather is great but it’s pretty exposed so could be very different in bad weather.
