Positiv Lovely area and pitch was a great size. Had electric hook up. Nice and quiet. Easy to get to and great if you like spotting helicopters going over. Owner was really friendly. Really nice size dog field. WiFi was amazing and the shop had local produce but could do with more day to day items milk, bread etc.

Negativ There are a few things that could do with improving on. There is a disabled toilet which was a great size. The shower head desperately needs replacing which was mentioned to the owner who has said she will replace. The loos are all loose to the floor as are some of the loo seats in the ladies. They really need a good clean. The freezers need to go. There is left over food in them and are extremely rusty and dirty on the outside side and full of ice. The outside sinks need a deep clean as well as they are covered in a mould of some sort. The dog field isn’t secure as there are large gaps under the gates.

Vom Platzbetreiber: just a couple of notes with regards to your review- thank you for telling me about the shower head that is now being sorted- if only you could have said about the rest to me rather than putting it on a review as we were there talking for a long time, the freezers may not look the best on the outside but inside they are clean (and have been defrosted) and the food inside belong to campers on the site which is the purpose of them. The gaps under the gates in the dog field will be looked into and sorted and the sinks have been thoroughly cleaned

Positiv Really liked the site and the friendly welcome and support throughout our stay. The toilets and showers were kept to a high standard, and the on site shop was excellent, and very welcome. Will be definitely back.

Positiv The lady who I believe runs the site was so helpful, welcoming and kind. She gave us 2 pitch options close to the toilet blocks as requested and answered the phone instantly to answer any questions. The toilets blocks were as clean as you’d expect and had signs on the walls saying they were cleaned regularly but if they were not meeting standards for us to let them know so they can sort it. The showers were a perfect temperature and pressure and we loved the little stands they provided to put our toiletries on. There were 2 communal freezers available with lots of room as well as a fridge which was very helpful and even a book and game borrowing section! We didn’t get a change to try the sites drinks/food but they were very reasonably priced and the shop was open for good period times and also said ring the bell inbetween these times! I 100% recommend this site to any quiet families or couples needed a relaxing but welcoming site to stay which is only a short drive to Penzance and other seaside destinations.

Positiv Everything!! Can not find anything negative at all. This was our first camping experience with a campervan and there was a little apprehension there, especially on my partners side as there were things she was worried about. We had booked just two nights there, not sure if we'd get to the second. Fast forward to the first morning waking up to the silence, a cuppa in the sun and we knew we were staying put for the week😊 We were able to extwnd our stay, no problem at all. The staff there were super friendly and helpful, the shop there was well stocked with all you could need while there (and very
reasonable, not silly and overpriced like most) There was a food van that visited on the Thursday evening, which had a great menu and looked amazing, we didnt have anything as we'd already made our own plans off site, but would have definitely had something if we had stayed in for the night. Showers and toilets were spotless, very regularly cleaned. Staff always about if you did need them. We had a wonderful time here and didn't want to come away. May have been our first camping trip, but most definitely will not be the last!😊

Negativ Staff - the owner/manager was very rude towards us, I understand her point of view however no one should treat any person the way she treated us, shouted at us in front of children, some of them with high anxiety and autism.

One person from our group called before to arrange our bookings to be next to each others and we were promised two pitches in the corner next to each others when we come up she showed us two pitches not next each other but we were supposed have p11 and p13 we asked if we could squeeze in on the one and she said you can do whatever you want, park the cars on the other one or just put other tent but few days later she gave the pitch that we paid for to someone else (it was still in our original booking period)

We decided to stay one more night as we don’t see each other often we paid for extra night and after paying for the night, just before 10pm manager come to us with horrible attitude and shouted at us in front of the terrified children (quiet time is 10:30) - night before;
some of us were asleep but some of us stayed up late and we were playing games and enjoyed time together, I didn’t realise that it was so late and one of the other guests come up to us to ask us to keep it down - we apologised and we stayed quiet since, we also apologised to people around our tents in the morning as we felt bad with disturbing them in the night, we planned to go to sleep at 22:30 to not cause any disturbances again but instead of having quiet and relaxing night we had crying children and angry parents before 10pm

Toilet facilities - full of spiders, trouble with flashing the toilets, bad smell, shower has no hot water, a bit warm but you can’t have a hot shower to warm up, lack of toilet rolls

Pitches - small

Price - high price for very little joy of being close to nature

Vom Platzbetreiber: There are a few issues i wish to clear up and correct about this review- i was not rude to you or your children when i asked you to keep the noise down for the second time. The first time i asked you to keep the noise down on your first night was politely and this was after 10.30pm when making too much noise, the second time i asked you, i asked in more of a sturn way and yes in front of the teenage children as i wasn't listened to the first time and you disregard my site rules, and upset other campers. I had other campers complaining to me about your noise the night before and one camper even asking you to be quiet well after 12pm. I spoke to you at about 10.10pm after i heard one of your teenage children screaming (i heard while i was in another campers caravan two pitches away) and felt it was unfair on other campers that time of night and i didn't want a repeat of the night before. Apologising to other campers the next day didn't help the situation when they had lost a night of sleep.
As for the pitches you were offered two pitches- no promise of them being together was given, being its out main busiest time of year and your request was asked for 2 days before arrival. You decided to be all on one pitch and there was always another pitch open for you to use for your full stay (which you didn't use).
Can i also ask why did you come back our site? (this being your second visit for one of you and third for the other) and ask for an extra night to what you booked if you were not happy with the facilities. The showers and toilets are checked and cleaned regularly and we are always on site should there be a problem, you can tell us which you didn't at any point. I would also like to point out leaving our site late on your departure was not helpful (10.50 am and 11.50am- check out time being 10.30) leaving me less time to get it ready for my next guests.
