Very basic facilities and all the better for it in my humble opinion, its a field and you go camping , what's not to like.
Panoramic views and enough space that you can pitch your tent away from others or not as you feel.

Positiv So quiet and peaceful, yet only 30mins from Manchester. Walks direct from the field onto to Moors with various routes to take.

Positiv Nice chill vibe, lots of families just having a good time.
Dog friendly, we didn't bring our puppy but nice to see lots of dogs and there was very little dog waste all considered.
Site was tidy, free of any litter.
Selection of BBQs and fire pits to borrow.
Toilet was clean, had loo rolls and never much of a queue.
Amazing views, with binoculars we could see Blackpool Tower and the Lake district and visibility wasn't even that great.
Good communication from the owner, reasonably priced.

Negativ Field is on a hill so have to scout around for a level-ish pitch.
Noisy traffic near the road at one end, noisy party tents near the other. Quiet campers need to choose one or the other. We went with the road. Some jokers think it's funny to blast their horns driving past at 6am, jokes on them because I'm up with the birds.
It's minimalist in terms of facilities but we knew that going in so wasn't a problem.
We had good weather but it is an exposed location.

Positiv Stunning views across to Pendle hill and could even see across to the coast (think it was morcambe bay!) was pretty busy on the field for the night but stayed quiet overnight. only 1 portaloo so did have to queue a few times with there being so many camping there was clean enough though. Ate in the pub the dog inn lovely meal 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £45 can’t complain was cooked perfect too.

Positiv A nice back to basics campsite, a natural field with a ( very clean ) portaloo, 3 recycling wheelie bins and a selection of bbq/fire pits to borrow.
Filed itself was very clean, loads of space to find a flat / sheltered spot.

I would recommend checking the location on Google maps re roads / local amenities etc. I did, and was more than happy with my stay hence my 10/10 review.

The owner sent a link pin for the sat nat directly to the site which was fantastic!
The Portaloo was clean.
The site was relaxed and you could pick where you wanted to camp in the field which was great!
It was great that you were allowed campfires and BBQ’s

Negativ The field was very near a main road which wasn’t mentioned on pitch up

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thanks for your feedback. Please note, we are a working farm and the grass is slightly longer than normal as it’s one of our hay making meadows. Once the grass is long enough, it will be cut and made into hay bales ready to feed our animals through the winter.

We have mown a small section of the grass as you enter the field (should be big enough for 4 pitches) for our campers that would prefer to pitch up on the shorter grass.
