The Barn Campsite

Positiv: Peaceful campsite with stunning views. Jonnty, the owner, was super friendly and helpful – we even bought fresh eggs from him which were perfect for breakfast. Clean toilets and dishwashing area – everything we needed. Would love to come back! 🌿

Positiv: Beautiful surroundings, friendly and helpful owner, lending us tape for the tent and giving us recommendations of places to go. We loved being able to pitch where we liked. A great time had despite the strong winds and rain!

Positiv: Beautiful campsite. Very well kept. Jonnty has thought of everything to make your stay a good one! Flushing toilets, showers, and a polly tunnel where you can dry wet gear or get out of the weather for a bit. The grass is kept nice and short and there is plenty of space to pitch up. Jonnty is very knowledgeable of the local area and very helpful with anything you need. We will certainly be back!

Positiv: Fantastic site, centrally located between all local attractions and points of interest.
Beautiful views, space for walking dogs on site, sheltered social area and toilet/shower blocks.

Host was brilliant, useful suggestions for the local area and amenities, provided fire pits for making campfires and electricity to charge devices.

I did not connect to the wifi, but it is available on site.

Positiv: Beautiful quiet campsite surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Toilets and showers well stocked and clean. Grab a firepit for free and buy a bag of logs for a perfect night. Jonnty the owner is a lovely bloke who's helpful and you can ask him anything be it directions, any extras you might need or just a bit chat. Washing up area was perfect and even a few sockets near the entrance to charge your phone up. The field itself is top quality beautifully kept grass it was amazing. This place really was a gem to find and a credit to Jonnty. Definitely our go to from now on. The views are spectacular. Almost forgot to mention just hook up to the guest wifi and you're good to go. Well done and thanks for making it perfect.

Positiv: Jonnty is a super host at the barn campsite, very knowledgeable about the local area and he literally can’t do enough for you, the campsite itself is very well kept with a friendly vibe and the shower and toilet facilities are very clean, we pitched up and relaxed with a bbq and a fire in the evening and into the night, then woke up early to go walking and take in the stunning views and see all the local wildlife, I honestly couldn’t recommend high enough.

Positiv: Great location! Was an ideal spot following our trek up Scafell Pike.

Jonty was a super host! There’s nothing about the local area he doesn’t know. Super helpful.

Showers were great! Decent power & great temperature.

Toilets were clean, good size & well kept.

Great washing up area. Plenty of drinking water & really good water pressure.

The whole place is immaculate, and beautifully kept. Could not ask for more.

Campfire & dog friendly - absolute winner!
