Positiv Location in Northumberland

Negativ Touring pitches flet cramped with not enough space between pitches.
Toilet, shower and dish washing facilities were limited given the number of pitches. 3 showers, 3 toilets 3 washbasins in total. Showers were too hot and temperature could not be changed. The shower ran for 5 seconds, requiring constant pushing of the valve - very old fashioned - and the cubicles were cramped and no seat. For dishwashing there were 2 sink, but one sink was out of action due to hot water tap not working. As for recreational facilties it's the only site I've been to where the pub etc is not located in the actual site, but across the main A697 road some 350 yards from the main reception area and double that if you're further along in the site.

Positiv The location of the site, a short walk to the Town.
The ducks and ducklings on the site were lovely to watch.

Negativ Large groups of adults on the site.
Children riding up and down the roads of the caravan park which is apparently not allowed.

Positiv Wildlife is enjoyable. Lot of Ducks wandering around. Toilets and showers good. Water at pitch is convenient

Negativ Small, uneven pitches. No TV signal. Road noise can spoil the experience.

Positiv Friendly/helpful receptionist; close to town( uphill walk); Bus station beside Bull Hotel to get to Berwick upon Tweed ; ducks & ducklings.

Negativ Small shower cubicles; nothing to mop floor with in shower block; pitches very close together; noise from road; no privacy ( i.e. pitches not separated by hedges very expensive to wash & dry clothes (£9); charge for Wi-Fi.

Positiv Riverside is in a lovely location along the banks of the river with ducks wandering around.The reception staff are friendly and helpful.The Pod was situated in a good position not too far from the toilets, showers, dishwashing and washing machine area.There was a fridge in the pod,a lamp and a plug socket.Outside there was a picnic bench.The site is quiet at night as the bar and entertainment area is a walk away on the other side of side of the main road.The Pod was great value for money.

Negativ The swimming pool was free but you had to give 24 hours to book.Maybe I didn’t read up about this properly but on a short stay it was hard to arrange.

Positiv Good size level pitches. Beautiful location, parks and good facilities at the complex. Food is good and reasonable.
