Positiv We had a great time at GHC and enjoyed the peaceful site and the good washing and toilet facilities. There are some great walks from the site and lots of facilities near by. The on site shop is useful and fair.

Positiv We loved staying at Green Haven. A small campsite, but with plenty of space for pitches. The toilets and showers are always clean and saw Katherine cleaning there regularly during our stay. 7 minutes for the shower is ample, it's even made us think how long we take at home now! The honesty shop is great, especially helpful when you forget to get bread! Katherine was happy for us to move our stay forward a day, as I wanted to pitch before the yellow weather warning, thankfully the site was quiet at the time! The site is perfect for star-gazing, crystal clear skies most evenings, despite the daytime weather being quite poor (although probably not always the case!). A short walk from a lovely little pub and some lovely local walks through fields etc. and only 25 minutes from Southwold, which was just perfect for us. There's no WiFi and we didn't have great signal, so if you need to stay connected be aware of that, but for us, it encouraged a welcome break from devices and technology. We cannot wait to come back and stay again!

Tranquil and very quiet, all other campers very respectful by 8pm you could hear a pin drop.

Beautiful sunsets some of the best I’ve seen in the UK.

The honesty shop is handy and if you don’t have cash you can arrange to pay via card before you leave.

Owners nice but not intrusive. Came round on our last morning and told us not to rush getting packed up as the site was quiet we could leave whenever we wanted which was nice.

5/10 minute walk to the nearest dog friendly pub. We didn’t eat there but other campers had and said it was lovely food.

Positiv Perfect little campsite for our young family and dog. Friendly and helpful owners, great clean facilities and a useful honesty shop too. We made use of some of the lawn games available to borrow as well. Great base for exploring Suffolk, and we will hopefully come back some time!

Positiv Lovely camping field next to open countryside. Horses in the next field. Honesty box for basic supplies. Fire baskets available, though quite expensive for wood.

Negativ Not great facilities. Not keen on unisex toilets and showers, particularly when there are only two toilets and 2 showers for the whole campsite! You also need 50p coins for the showers.

However, we are extremely disappointed to receive such poor comments from you, and such low scores for everything. Reviews like this are extremely significant to our small, family run business and we spend time worrying about them.

We do state on our website that the shower block is unisex and that showers are 50p. As you will see from all the previous reviews, this isn't usually an issue. We have had a unisex shower block since we opened in 2014, as we felt it was the easiest way to provide facilities for as many people as possible, at any one time, with what was manageable for us to build. People can then use the showers as a family, or shower share, to save hot water. This seems to work well. 50p gives a 7 minute shower, which is plenty of time.

In looking back at the previous 10 reviews before yours, all of them mention how clean or good our facilities are. One of them specifically mentions that they never had to wait to use the facilities, even when the site was fully booked. We are only a small campsite and two showers and two toilets is plenty, especially when we usually have caravans and motor homes staying with us, who will make use of their own showers and toilets.

We are sorry that you have given the facilities 5/10 for cleanliness, and 1/10 overall. We do our best to keep everything as clean and tidy as possible. We can't monitor this all the time, but we clean twice a day, check on things many times a day and make it very clear to all guests that we live on site and are available, should they encounter any problems. We are extremely busy in the summer holidays, with our own children, other projects and other jobs but, as you will see from our reviews, we always take the time to meet and greet people and pop out to chat with everyone regularly. We are proud of our 10/10s for customer service and value for money and we are proud of our campsite too.

Positiv I visited for 1 night with my 7yr old. Great place for a family get together, away. The hosts were great. There was a meet and greet on arrival and they provided everything we needed from the fire basket and wood and clean facilities. The shower/toilet Block and washing up area was kept clean regularly. The shop provided cold storage free as well as local produce. 50p pieces were provided free for the shower, which were on a timer, but provided ample water for 2 people to shower. I would 100% return for another visit.

The 50p coins are actually for exchanging for a pound coin, or for adding onto purchases from our little shop (they aren't free). However, as you say, this gives 7 minutes, which does give enough time for two people to shower. You can pay for everything in one go, with a contactless card payment, if you want to buy a few items from our Provisions Place, at the end of your stay.

Positiv Lovely small site. Good shower (50p for 7 mins which is plenty). Ordered breakfast provisions (eggs, sausages and rolls) which were very good. Friendly owners. The Rumburgh Buck (10 min walk) is very good for both food and drink.
