Moat Barn Touring Caravan Park

Positiv This is a really tidy, clean and well looked after site. Our grass pitch was flat and easily accessible. The showers, toilets , information hut, washing machine and washing up area were immaculate. They are all based in a large shed type building which is very accessible with a good path / patio area surrounding it. The water in the showers was hot and had a good pressure.
The site was really peaceful. We did some short walks and a run from the site and it seemed there was more we could have explored had we stayed longer.
There is some kind of community shop close by which was open in the mornings and we also noticed a pop up pub on a Friday night

Positiv Clean, quiet and relaxed. Whilst I have no issue with children on sites where I camp it is good to have the option to occasionally have a child free break.

Negativ No really a dislike but the site is isolated so cabs where required to go out for dinner in the evening.

Positiv This campsite is in a good location for touring the area. It is very quiet, one of the quietest I have ever stayed on.
It is very well equipped with communal fridge, freezer, washing machines and washing up facilities, good showers & very clean toilet/wash rooms.
It has spacious level pitches with easily accessible electric hook ups.
The owner is friendly, available and very attentive to the cleanliness & tidiness of the site. The campsite is adult only, which I prefer.

Positiv Level pitch, well maintained site and facilities. Liked use of fridge and freezer. Washers available but didn't use. Showers were great.
James was very helpful and friendly. Nice walks for our dog.
Would definitely stay again.

Negativ Wasps! But that's part of summer.
Wifi was more off than on.

Positiv Pitches are very flat for tents, nice location although not a lot locally, there are a lot of towns and villages within short drives.
Pitch sizes were good but when the site is fully booked can imagine it might get a bit cosy.
Wi-Fi didn’t work but signal in the area is good so wasn’t a problem for us.

Negativ Facilities are lacking a bit of TLC and daily cleaning. Found the shower floors to be quite dirty and noticed that they weren’t cleaned at all in our 5 night stay - there were only a couple of other guests at the site but they should still be cleaned daily.
There are only 2 showers and 2 toilets in each male and female so when busy I can imagine peak times it can get busy

Positiv Lovely and peaceful, perfect place to get away from it all.

Clean, well kept facilities.

Well spaced pitches.

Negativ There were lots of wasps, so make sure to take wasp repellents.

Free WiFi a bit hit and miss, but good phone signal.

Positiv Easy to find, well kept site, good toilet/wash block looks like a disabled toilet being added 👍. Good walks nearby

Positiv Everything about the site was 100%, James was welcoming, the pitches were impeccable and showers were beautiful, water always nice and hot, had 4 days there and loved every minute, even the other caravanners were very pleasant and helpful, cant wait to come back again...

Positiv Beautiful pitch,mowed to perfection and tidy hedges all neatly kept.Work is obviously in progress updating areas of the site.All done to a high standard.Owner very friendly.Definitely will return.
