Positiv Just got back from a long weekend camping with a couple of other families. Absolutely idyllic, we all loved it and would definitely go back. Loads of rope swings for the kids to play on, lots of little bits along the river to explore, which was lovely and shady when the temperature was high. A lot of the time was spent paddling around and we had a last splash after packing the tents away 😁 Facilities-wise there are two toilets, and two toilet/wetrooms, and one washing up sink, so sometimes a bit of a queue but not too bad at all.

Negativ One thing to bear in mind is that all rubbish needs to be taken off site with you, and we’d packed our car to the max. We tried to separate out anything that we could burn in the fire pit to reduce what we needed to bin. Toilet roll is replenished daily but bring your own hand soap as there's none provided. Was kind of noisy until gone 11, so that’s worth bearing in mind if you’re going with little ones.

Positiv My family and I, had a lovely time at Avon Wild Camping. My children loved playing in the river. Swimming and swinging over the river on rope swings. In Beautiful relaxing setting. We loved our camp fire in a fire pit provided by the site. Thanks for having us.

Positiv It's great that you can pick any spot rather than have assigned pitches, and lovely that they are relaxed about having fires. Love the scenery and the fact it feels like a very well kept secret. *Lovely* location - the river is beautiful. Russell on-site makes it feel that the place is well looked after.

Negativ I liked the simple and quirky toilet block but having the showers in the same cubicle as the toilets meant in the morning it could be a very long wait for the toilet as two out of the four of them were being used as showers. Could be improved by having toilets and showers separated.

Access to the river was great fun.

Positiv We enjoyed this campsite and getting to play in the river. It’s a great for watching the sunset and they provide fire pits.

Negativ There are no bins. Most people will take their rubbish away but sadly some people don’t and left theirs behind, which wasn’t pleasant seeing the rubbish on site and in the river. Would be much better if there was bins and recycling on site and more frequent litter picking.

Positiv The variety of places to camp, the river access and facilities. Great instructions for arrival and very easy to find. There were plenty of spaces to choose for camping and lots of different access points to the river. Sat and watched a gorgeous sunset with a fire pit and total peace :-)

Positiv Location was so lovely being by the river. Very peaceful even with the kids charging around! Surprisingly good showers too!

Negativ Needs clear signage about drinking water.
Lights in the toilets. (Either they didn’t work or wherever the switch was was not easy to find)
