Positiv Very peaceful site. Pitches are huge. Remote area but great to walk around to local villages and canal. Libby the host is lovely with her meet and greet.

Negativ Nothing we disliked at all as we know what to expect. But for some ensure you read about the facilities if that's what you look for. We are self sufficient and facilities are very basic but perfect for the environment you are staying at so I say enjoy the moment of staying here as soon peaceful surroundings

Positiv Our first time camping with 2 children. really enjoyed it nice and quiet lovely little walks, learnt a lot from our first time what to do /take for next time ☺️ lady was very welcoming came out on arrival and explained everything so thank you .

Positiv Followed \\\what three words straight to the site gate. Found a nice spot and parked up my van. What a delight, weather helped but gorgeous walks around the local corn fields. Flat well kept field with minimal but sufficient facilities. Compost loo and gas shower which was warm.
Host was lovely, apologies didn’t catch a name, came round for a chat. They have great plans for the site and if I’m back near Daventry I will certainly visit again.

Positiv So peaceful. Libby was so friendly and welcoming. The location was great. The facilities were really well maintained and kept clean. Exceeded expectations. Already planning our return!

Positiv I had an excellent stay at this campsite, especially as it was my first time camping. The setting is very rural, with no road noise at all, so you can just pitch up and relax straight away.

The facilities are basic, but everything is done really well. The shower, although simple, was honestly one of the best I’ve used, and the composting toilets were lovely and kept very clean.

It’s a peaceful, laid-back place with a great atmosphere. Even though it’s close to home, it really felt like I was miles away. I’m already looking forward to coming back again in the next few weeks!

Positiv Relaxed site, open field, basic facilities. The compost toilets were kept very clean.
We were made to feel very welcome. Mixture of couples and families all respectfully enjoying their pitches, didnt feel over crowded, there was the space for the kids to play safely.
There is a communal BBQ and fire pit.
Tesco express and petrol station less than 10mins drive for supplies.

Negativ We stayed in good weather, the addition of a communal covered area could be helpful for those travelling light. (We had a gazebo so wasnt an issue for us)

Vom Platzbetreiber: Hiya, Thanks for the great review. Im waiting on planning permissions before we can get the mess tent back up and running as you're right we do need a place for shelter in the weather extremes were having.
As for the spiders....LOL I do sweep them out fairly regularly but its tricky staying on top of them all. Sorry you had a moment but glad your overall stay was a good one.

Positiv Nice quiet site, quite basic facilities but more than adequate. The local village was lovely , a small Tesco 2 miles away.
