Stanford Hall Caravan Park

Positiv It was a quiet site, surrounded by lovely countryside, easy & straightforward check in/out process & I was given lots of handy information on arrival. Nice to have the freedom of pitch choice. The bin/recycling points were clean & tidy & easy to find.
Owner let me know that I could leave the following day at any time & didn’t necessarily have to stick to the 12pm check out time which was nice. The man I met on arrival was polite & friendly.

Negativ The access road around the site was so bumpy & full of very deep potholes it was impossible to miss them & at one point feared I had done some damage to my van.
Majority of the occupants were permanent caravan/RV residents where some of the sites & surrounding their pitches looked very run down & shabby which I think lets the site down. As a lone female traveller this was the first site where I haven’t felt entirely comfortable leaving my campervan unlocked overnight while I slept. In my honest opinion the 9.3 rating does not reflect what I saw & experienced while I was there.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Hi Laura, Thank you for your review ,Sadly & unfortunately Laura we are not to every ones taste, On arrival you were made aware of our currant road situation around site & had you followed the friendly simple advice given to you on arrival you would not have driven on the road at all, Work to repair road is due to start very soon. Unfortunately Yes there is 1 or 2 seasonal pitch holders that let the side down with untidy pitches but we are addressing those responsible & are constantly making improvements. Also In the currant climate of the crazy world today we cant see why anyone would want to sleep with doors unlocked but had you done so we're pretty confident you would have been 100% safe. Sorry to see your not returning to us but we wish you Safe travels Laura on your future adventures have fun.

Positiv Very quiet. Nice location. Lots of space.

Negativ The woods, where you could walk your dogs had a big oily puddle, which both dogs went in. It would of been helpful if the owner had mentioned it when he told us about the woods.

Positiv Quiet country location with lots of broad leaved trees to provide shade and quiet. Was just what we needed. We watched the fireworks too from the site and they were awsome. Even though the site was full, it never felt busy or overcrowded. The staff were so very helpful too. We really enjoyed our stay 😍😍

Positiv Fantastic, lovely people run it, would recommend it to everyone .No toilets or showers but not the end of the world! A great place to stop the night if you are looking for a halfway point 100%Happy!!!

Positiv I can't comment on an actual stay...we booked to come here and when we arrived I realised we'd booked the wrong place, meaning to book the Stanford Hall grounds for an event. I have given this site a top review because it did look nice and well looked after, but mainly because the warden kindly gave me a refund and was very kind and understanding. I assume this level of attention will be provided throughout anyone's stay!

Positiv What a great site, Sharon and Darren were amazing hosts and could not of been more helpful. Set in picturesque country side our stay was relaxing and peaceful.
Lots of information upon arrival and throughout our stay.
