Just married…at 3 am?
Oct. 2 2012 Publicat per Laura Canning
Good – or perhaps bad – news for party animals… you can now get married at any time, after the UK’s ban on marriages at night has been lifted.
Marriage law dating back to 1836 stated that weddings could only take place between 8am and 6pm, but this has now been rescinded by the Home Office after public consultation.
Blackpool Tower is one of the first venues to take advantage of the new rules, offering weddings at midnight and 3 am as well as at dawn.
Want to be a true non-traditionalist? Get married at the Tower then have a camping pod honeymoon at Stanley Villa Farm Camping, just 15 minutes’ drive away from Blackpool.
