The stunning views of Newport Bay will likely be the first feature you'll see at this fab south Wales site, for they really are rather splendid. Penfeidir Farm Camp Site is at the foot of Carn Ingli mountain (Cairn of Angels), with heavenly views of the bay and within easy reach of spectacular Welsh beaches such as Newport and Fishguard, each within 10 minutes' drive. This lush setting is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park too, so days of coastal rambles, mountain hikes, heritage highlights and wildlife watching are all on the agenda – and whatever activity or attraction you opt for, do remember that Newport's excellent local produce market is held every Monday... This is a small and friendly site, on a farm, and with good amenities including toilets, free hot showers, a washing-up area and chemical disposal. Pitches are on grass and cars can be parked alongside. Newport has eateries and pubs aplenty to keep you fully fed and watered on your south Wales seaside hol, as well as a grocery shop and butcher's so you can bag as many treats as poss to fry up on the barbecue later among these first-rate coastal views.

Em va agradar Great views over Newport Sands. Short walk into Newport village. Owner is very friendly.

No em va agradar Pitches are very sloped, much more than levelling ramps can compensate for. Facilities could use some TLC to say the least. No hot water for washing up. Very expensive for what you get.

Del gerent: Thank you for your review. We’re sorry you felt disappointed with your stay. This is our first season running the campsite and we’re fully aware that the toilet and facilities block needs some TLC — improvements are already something we’re looking at for the future.

We do feel the comments regarding the slope are a little unfair. We regularly accommodate motorhomes and campervans of various sizes, including a 9-metre motorhome on the upper pitches, without any issues levelling.

We were also disappointed that none of these concerns were mentioned to us during your stay. We spoke with you in person after your first night, which would have given us the opportunity to help, move you to another pitch if necessary, or address anything you were unhappy with.

We’re always happy to receive constructive feedback and will continue improving the site as we grow, but we would always encourage guests to speak to us while they’re here so we have the chance to put things right.

Lovely place to visit, good host we’ll definitely go back again

Em va agradar The view was amazing and the pitches were clean and tidy as well as the washing up area and the bin area. Very clean and there were almost no issues.

Em va agradar Clean and tidy. Spacious pitches. Beautiful scenic views. Owner of the pitch was lovely and helpful on phone on arrival and even came to check in after our arrival. Looking forward to visiting again.

Em va agradar Great location with an amazing coastline view from the top of the camping field. Just a 10 minute walk into the village of Newport and a short drive from a choice of local beaches and the beautiful Gwaun Valley.
A lovely farm site with simple but clean facilities, super hot showers and a handy washing up area.
Jo, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly, replying to messages and enquiries very quickly. We initially booked for two nights but stayed for an extra night as we enjoyed it so much.
We look forward to returning to Penfeidr campsite in the future and introducing it to our camping friends.

Em va agradar The welcome from the owner (Joanna) and the views were both stunning. A great location walking distance to the beach and Newport with it's pubs, cafes and little shops.

No em va agradar The showers were not the best we've experienced, but this was related to the water pressure being low, caused by the drought conditions. Joanna investigated this as soon as we mentioned it, and although she could not fix it, immediately put up signage to explain the issue. We felt welcomed and well looked after.

If you're not so fortunate, your must-sees on this Pembrokeshire hol are the nearby beaches of Newport and Fishguard, both rightly famed across Wales and the country for their stunning scenery and golden sands. Away from the beaches (that'll be in week two), there are hundreds of miles of paths in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to hike and ramble, Newport Bay to spy seal pups and porpoises, the estuary for more wildlife watching, and the splendid coastal teeing off of Newport Golf Club. Further afield, a trip by car or bus will take you to other famed Welsh destinations such as St Davids (35 minutes' drive), or to some of the country's many ancient highlights including the Castell Henllys Iron Age fort 10 minutes away by car and Pembroke Castle within 55. Or stick to strolling: 14th-century Newport Castle is less than a mile from the site.

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
Les parcel·les o els allotjaments s'assignaran en arribar al càmping.

Extres

Es poden portar motos en lloc dels cotxes inclosos en el preu.

En cas que tingueu alguna queixa, parleu amb recepció de seguida. Aquelles queixes que no hagueu presentat a l'administració durant la vostra estada no es podran resoldre un cop hagueu marxat del càmping.
La direcció es reserva el dret de refusar l'accés o posar fi a l'estada d'aquells hostes que presentin un comportament inapropiat. En tal cas, no s'oferirà cap reembossament.
