Anglers, hikers, pub goers and horse riders… settle serenely down at this site for all of what you seek, in a peaceful position in the Powys countryside. Spring Rock Holidays is set near the Llandegley Rocks, with several public rights of way starting right from it including a spectacular waterfall walk and forest hikes. It has its own pleasure fishery for anglers of all abilities, made up of a 15-foot lake with mirror, common, ghost and koi carp up to 25lbs; river fishing on the Ithon and fly fishing are both available nearby too. Several sports and leisure centres with swimming pools are in in the area too, along with a riding centre and pony trekking, 4x4 drives and kayaking along the Wye. And whatever flavour of break you go for, you'll likely like a stroll to the Severn Arms within walking distance of the site, which serves real ales, pub grub and takeaway (please note there's a short roadside section on the walk to the pub). Spring Rock has a toilet and shower block, a separate washing up area and a chemical disposal point.

Em va agradar Fantastic place for walks. Near shops in a car. Lovely setting. Nice owners.

No em va agradar Showers. Not price of 20p per minute, but the fact money starts to go down before getting the shower on, making it stressful to rush!

Em va agradar Quietness, tranquility, freindly and helpful staff

No em va agradar Lack of toilet brushes and having a single drying towel for communal use (why not have a paper towel dispenser?). Timers on showers were not good as they started as soon as the coins were added so in order to shower fof the time paid for you had to be naked when paying.

Wifi was a bit patchy at times

Em va agradar It's a lovely quiet site. Very friendly.Well maintained. Ideal for those who enjoy fishing, personally not for me, but also perfect for walking over the Welsh mountains with one or two walks near by without moving the car.
The toilets and showers are always spotless. Plenty of room between pitches.

No em va agradar The only downside is possibly a slight lack of room when showering for hanging up clothes, but the showers are excellent.

Em va agradar The peaceful site in a beautiful setting. The clean toilet/showers. Nice level gravel pitches. The fishing pond.

No em va agradar The overgrown hedges on the single track approach lane to the site that scuffed our motorhome sides!

Cabana pod Cwtch

Em va agradar Just back from 3 fabulous nights at Spring Rock Holidays, we stayed in the Cwtch and what a cosy little wooden pod right at the lake side. The pod was perfect, spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed and everything you needed for a glamping experience. The showers and toilets were immaculate. The fishing was excellent, we caught lots of fish over the 3 days. The owner, Andrew is clearly very passionate about the site and the lakes and really cannot do enough for you. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making my husband’s Birthday very memorable 😊

No em va agradar The only downside was we didn’t book for longer!

From Hereford/Kington, as you come into Llandegley, you will see a large sign on your left for household waste/recycling and the campsite is the next left after that.

Llocs d'interès

After a leisurely time fishing on site, more of the same can be landed at the local pub's section of the Ithon river, via fly fishing at Rhayader or Llyngwyn, or in the Wye from the nearby town of Builth Wells. Other active options easily accessed from here are pony trekking and horse riding, 4x4 experiences, Wye Valley kayaking and hikes around the Elan Valley. Cyclists should also like the hundreds of bikes and loads of cycling bits at the National Cycle Museum in local town Llandrindod Wells. If you're up for events, the Royal Welsh Showground at Llanelwedd near Builth Wells hosts events throughout the year including the Royal Welsh Show in July, the Smallholders' Show in May, the Winter Fayre in December, dog and horse shows, and two antique fairs. You could also have a look at the red kite feeding station at Gigrin Farm, or take to the car for day trips: the Brecon Beacons, Aberystwyth and Hay-on-Wye are all within an hour.
