Em va agradar Fantastic stay at The Burrows. So quiet and close to the beach. The older gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and as we arrived a little early , he let us go straight to the pitch. The grounds team were always cutting and tiding. After reading previous reviews I was worried about the toilet blocks but I needn't have worried because they are very clean. The young lady was always mopping and polishing the sinks and taps. They even have an outdoor shower for wetsuits and sandy feet.
Dogs can go on the beach from 1st October and this is what drew us here. We had sea view saunas and sunset beers and curry all within walking distance.
We didn't use the leisure facilities on site so can't comment.
We will definitely be back next October.

No em va agradar Where the grass was cut and not collected, there were cuttings that get trodden in the van.
We were on pitch 13 which was lovely but because of the large tree , didn't get any sun at all.

Em va agradar The pitch was huge ! Short stroll to the beach and easy to walk to the village. As we stayed in low season the dog was allowed on the beach, which she loved. Great walks all around . I used the pool, it was busy and great for kids. All the facilities that you might need to entertain or feed yourself but we walked to the Sri Lankan curry cabin at Downend which was really good. The walk back was accompanied by a spectacular sunset.
Having read some of the reviews , I have to say the ge tel an that booked us in and showed us the layout and our pitch, was friendly and very helpful.

No em va agradar The shower block is a bit tired, but spotlessly clean.
£21 feet for bringing a dog is the steepest we have encountered and am not entirely sure it is justified.

No em va agradar The facilities closest to the upper camping field where we were allocated were dreadful, poor state of repair and not at all clean.

Em va agradar It's a great location, surfers paradise right next to the beach. Easy walk into Croyde. The cabins looked to be lovely, but we didn't stay in them.

No em va agradar We were in our motorhome, travelling with our dog along with my brother and his wife in their Moho. Despite requesting it at booking, we weren't pitched together and although we did manage to get it sorted eventually, initially, we were told it wasn't possible. Apart from that, the big issue for me was the shower block, which is in absolutely desperate need of renovating. The drains smelt, and the run off from one shower had to go through others to reach the drain. Showers had broken fittings, no bench, many had broken off internal screens so your clothes get wet as you shower. The chemical waste disposal seemed to have been designed to guarantee that you will get splashed as you emptied the tank into the floor level hole and needs a rethink on it. We also had some rain during our stay, but it didn't stop them cutting the grass on our pitch during the stay, leaving lumpy patches of cut grass on the pitch which looked awful and was messy. We also were not allowed to use the clubhouse, as we had dogs with us, so missed out on that.

Em va agradar We had a fantastic stay at this campsite despite the wind try to spoil things.The site was clean ( toilet and shower rooms immaculate), peaceful, and well maintained, with great sea views from our tent. We had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The facilities were excellent, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. It was a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping experience
