Heavenly Devon views are around you at this super spot looking down over Brixham. Estate agents might call it a dual aspect view. At Wall Park Touring Caravan and Centry Road Camping Site they just call it their own special corner of Devon. Sitting on the Berry Head peninsula, this lush green tree-lined site has Brixham harbour on one side, peaceful St. Mary’s Bay on the other. It’s a smart site with a laundry, hot showers and disabled bathrooms, as well as an on-site bar (closed on Mondays) for refreshments. Regulars rave about the walk down into Brixham from the site; a 15-minute descent with the sea gulls, sea breezes and sea views getting ever closer. (They also point out it’s uphill on the way back; in a car, the trip’s about three minutes.) Brixham’s a handsome harbour town that's great for fresh fish, as the boats unload here all day. To see a slightly older vessel, step aboard the Golden Hind, a replica of the craft Sir Francis Drake circled the globe in 450 years ago and still awash with history. You can clock some miles up yourselves in this part of the Devon coast, on foot or by car. A walk round the Berry Head nature reserve will reward the most reluctant hikers, with huge views, a Napoleonic fort and cliffs alive with adders, guillemots and peregrine falcons. Hike round the headland, then take the path down to St. Mary’s Bay for a well-earned paddle.

Em va agradar Well maintained clean site. Food and drink available on site with some nights having live entertainment. We found the nights to be quiet once the entertainment had ended. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location to walk to the harbour or along the coastal path to Berry Head. Had a nice few chilled nights here. A site we will return to.

Em va agradar Good facilities, on site bar with occasional live music and hot food outlet. Good size pitches. Walkable to Brixham and to local bus stops with access to other major towns - although steep climb back up. Pretty dog friendly (they can often get leftover sausages from breakfast) although not allowed in toilet and shower block so bit more difficult for a solo traveller (tie up point available outside).

Em va agradar The addition of the snack shack and the bar is great .
The pizzas , chips and burgers are amazing .
The chicken sandwich on wednesday night was honestly the best ive ever tried .
Toilets are pretty good and clean , showers also .
Reception is great , local coop is roughly 5 mins walk , stock pretty much everything youll need .
The prince william on the harbour is our favourite pub , great food , brixham fish and chip shop amazing .
Even though the pub and chippy arent to do with wall park directly , they add to a great stay for food , drink , and lots of walking .
Pitches are electric and grass mainly.
Weve been 3 times in 6 years , site is wonderful.

Em va agradar Excellent campsite. Great little food hut. Great entertainment and pub on site next to the park. Toilets and showers were great. Very good location. Pleasant, picturesque walk into brixham harbour. Coop 5 minute walk away. Everybody was so friendly.

Em va agradar We found this site to be wonderful. We checked in at a very helpful and kind reception, who then showed us to our pitch. We set our tent up on our electric pitch and we were free to roam the site and the surrounding areas. Everybody on the site was very friendly and polite. There was a little bar on site which had a live singer on Fridays and Saturdays. The location was brilliant as it was only a short walk to the coastal path and a 15 minute walk to Brixham town centre. All in all we had a wonderful stay there for a very reasonable price. Would definitely return and would definitely recommend.

Many of the towns on the coast serve up a cracking cocktail of inland attraction and nearby beach, Dartmouth (40 minutes’ drive) being a good example. The 14th-century castle has estuary views and grisly history for those who like it; railway buffs can catch the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam line for a nostalgic tour of the surrounds and link up with a boat trip on the River Dart as well. Adjacent to the town, Blackpool Sands beach is sandy and safe for families, and adventurous sorts can go sea-kayaking. Further off, Hope Cove (an hour) has the perfect combination of sand for burying your siblings in and rock pools for exploring. If you do want a break from coastal activities, Paignton Zoo (20 minutes) has exotic residents in six different habitats; you can visit each one on the Jungle Express Train. Plymouth (an hour) is a popular port of call for its National Marine Aquarium and indoor ski slopes. For watery fun away from the beaches meanwhile, Splashdown Quay West (15 minutes) is an aqua park packed with flumes and slides and things to get wet in, and there are water rides, interactive dinosaurs and a zoo farm menagerie at Woodlands Adventure Park (45 minutes).
