Cadgwith cove - a 10 minute walk along the coast path or via quiet country lane

If hiking all around the Lizard Peninsula has long been on your bucket list – or even if it’s your first time hearing of its sweet coves and southwesterly sea views – Cadgwith Camping will let you crack the coastal code. From this dog-friendly site on a working dairy farm with naturally splendid seaside scenery, you’ll be well set to forge your way towards nearby beaches, try local seafood specialities and snorkel over the busy reedbed (or dive into the deeper sea from the rockside) at the National Trust's Kynance Cove, 10 minutes’ drive away. Follow the sea breeze to the South West Coast Path, easily accessed just five minutes’ walk from the site. From here, you can hike to the lighthouse at Lizard Point (another National Trust site and the most southerly spot in the UK). En route, drop into Lizard village (also five minutes’ drive and a good shortcut to Lizard Point) for pubs/restaurants, cafés and food shops. For some of the most scrumptious crab sandwiches around, stroll in the opposite direction through peaceful country lanes to Cadgwith (15 minutes’ walk or five minutes’ drive), where the food you’ll eat is caught pretty much straight from the sea. Let the staff point you towards a local who will take you out yourself, so you can see what you can reel in too. And afterwards, you can nurse a pint in the pub or browse the seafood market. Take your catch back to the grill with an on-site barbecue or perhaps end the day beside the campfire, as they’re allowed on site too. Things are kept pretty basic here, as the site's geared towards wild camping with with just composting toilets and handmade portable shower cubicles – simply lay back and take in the sea views.

Em va agradar Absolutely beautiful location and great hosts. The campsite was safe, friendly and quiet. The facilities were just right for us - best compost toilets I have ever used! We loved the coastal path walk to Cadgwith Cove, where we had a wonderful day snorkelling and taking it easy away from the summer holiday crowds. I will definitely be back.

Em va agradar Everything!! The views, the space, the owners, the dogs, the food - It was all amazing and great value too. Recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful sea view to wake up too. Also super easy to join the South West coastal path for even more breathtaking views. Warm showers and clean facilities - it's great!!

Em va agradar *Park in the bottom field if you can, the view is absolutely stunning, what a picture to wake up to.

*It does say on the info sheet, that you're given on the way in, that they have a fridge and freezer, doesn't say where though. Luckily, the woman running the food van kindly put our freezer blocks in her freezer overnight.

No em va agradar The showers are slightly dangerous, be careful! They suddenly run cold (not nice with driving wind blustering through the gaps at the top of the wooden cubicles), and then scolding hot. I don't mean just a bit hot, I love a hot shower, I mean actually scolding where I had to quickly jump away from the water. Inconsistent water temperature overall.

Slightly noisy with some vehicles driving up and down the site at night and early morning.

Del gerent: We are sorry to hear that you had issues with the showers. Will and I remain on site all day and would have dealt with this immediately, if you had brought it to our attention.

Regarding the late arrival, we state clearly that we do not accept check in or returning guests after 10pm. - we are a quiet site. Unfortunately , this was ignored by some late arrivals who had not made prior arrangements and we were caught off-guard by this. Thankfully, Will was on site to escort them in.

We do have fridge and freezers available for use at the farmhouse. We also run the food van, and are happy to put smaller items in the fridge for your convenience.

Em va agradar You'd struggle to find a more beautiful camping spot than this: stunning views right from your tent and just two minutes from the coast path with swimming coves in abundance nearby. The facilities are great with warm showers, toilets, and washing up sinks. The owners are so welcoming and the campsite has a really nice family feel to it. We had a wonderful time!

If you’re still hankering after more sea and sand, there are two beaches (with pretty cool seaside cafés too) at Kennack Sands (10 minutes’ drive). And if you fancy a plunge or just a slightly more challenging dip, the local activity centre (10 minutes) will introduce you to the sea through coasteering, kayaking and paddleboarding. There are walks and bays all around the Lizard Peninsula, but if you want something a little different, you can stroll through botanical gardens at Trebah Garden (35 minutes). Head a little further into Falmouth for Pendennis Castle (45 minutes), a pretty mighty fortress looking out to sea. If you’re willing to travel a little further, The Eden Project (an hour and 20 minutes) also makes an intriguing day out, as the domes are home to rather huge tropical gardens.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
L'establiment us enviarà més informació sobre el registre d'entrada 5 dia/es abans de la vostra arribada.
No s'ofereixen reembossaments/descomptes per les inclemències metereològiques, les arribades tardanes ni les sortides anticipades.

Extres

Es poden portar motos en lloc dels cotxes inclosos en el preu.

En cas que tingueu alguna queixa, parleu amb recepció de seguida. Aquelles queixes que no hagueu presentat a l'administració durant la vostra estada no es podran resoldre un cop hagueu marxat del càmping.
Està prohibit fumar en les àrees públiques.
