Fox Wood is a scenic couples- and family-focused site at the bottom of a wooded valley within the South Downs National Park, in a 35-acre private woodland. Each of the pitches has its own firepit area for campfires. No cars are allowed within the woodland but wheelbarrows are available from reception to help move your tents and bits to and from your pitch. Alternatively, ask a member of site staff to run your gear to your pitch for a small charge using our site vehicle. There are clean, modern facilities with flushing toilets and eight well-pressured hot showers, all free to use. There is now only one nearby pub: The World’s End, a family-friendly 16th-century coaching inn with good food and a fantastic beer garden.

Bring your walking boots and mountain bike: access to the outdoors is on the site's doorstep. A public footpath is 10 steps across the lane from the site's woodland entrance and there are 1,300 acres of Angmering Park woodland footpaths and bridleways to explore within 500 metres of the site entrance. You can also go walking in the South Downs National Park or visit sandy West Wittering beach, about five miles away. The historic town of Arundel is easily accessible, about five miles away, with Swanbourne Lake and many hill walks in the Arundel Park Estate and lots of antique/boutique shops, sweet shops and cafés.
