Fox Wood is a scenic couples- and family-focused site at the bottom of a wooded valley within the South Downs National Park, in a 35-acre private woodland. Each of the pitches has its own firepit area for campfires with log seats.
No cars are allowed within the woodland but wheeled trolleys are available from reception to help move your tents and bits to and from your pitch. Alternatively, ask a member of site staff to run your gear to your pitch for a small charge using our site vehicle.
Being off grid, the toilets are composting and water is pumped from an underground well. The toilets are in a purpose-built modern block (five for women and three for men) where there are also two gas-powered showers (small charge applies).
There are three pubs within walking distance serving food and all with gardens with play areas: the Fox (five minutes' walk along a lane), The World's End (15 minutes' walk along a footpath by a back road) and the Woodman's Arms (20 minutes' walk through fields).

At the Junciton of the A280 and A27, follow directions for Patching at the roundabout. Make a right turn down Selden Lane, Fox Wood is the second farm entrance on the left, opposite a small wilderness pond.

A public footpath is 10 steps across the lane from the site's woodland entrance and there are 1,300 acres of Angmering Park woodland footpaths and bridleways to explore within 500 metres of the site entrance.
You can also go walking in the South Down National Park or visit sandy West Wittering beach, about five miles away.
The historic town of Arundel is easily accessible, about five miles away, with Swanbourne Lake and many hill walks in the Arundel Park Estate and lots of antique/boutique shops, sweet shops and cafés.
