Em va agradar Lovely site, very well kept and excellent facilities. Had a problem with a tyre and the very kind gentleman from the shop was very happy to help me out. They oitches are a good size with ehu, fresh water and a drain. The site is well positioned and within walking distance to visit Ulverston and also the Buddhist centre and the beach.

No em va agradar The site stipulate which way your van should face and on one side of Rydal it means that your van is facing away from the afternoon sun therefore making it shady and cold to sit out late afternoon and early evening.

Just to clarify on the parking orientation: we do specify which way each van should face because every plot has its own allocated grass area. Parking the opposite way not only encroaches on another guest's grass allocation, it also places the vehicle facing directly toward their door, which is an invasion of their privacy. For those reasons we ask guests to follow the pitch orientation we give.

I appreciate your point about that side of Rydal feeling shady in the late afternoon and early evening when the pitch orientation means vans face away from the sun. If future guests prefer more evening sun, please ask reception on arrival — we'll check availability and, where possible, offer a pitch that suits your preference.

Em va agradar Everything, the campsite is well positioned pitches are flat and great positions. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Facilities are fabulous you get your own wet room with lots of space and they are clean.

We did look carefully into the possibility of adding an onsite food shop, but after assessing the need, we've decided it isn't something we'll be introducing. With several shops and supermarkets located as little as 0.5 miles from the site, we feel our guests are well served for everyday essentials and groceries, and we'd prefer to keep our focus on the facilities and experiences that matter most to our visitors.
