Em va agradar Greeted by a very welcoming owner who was so helpful and made us feel welcome. The site was well maintained and had some wonderful views of the tarn and surrounding area. Everyone kept to a 10.30pm quiet time although a few stayed up in front of their camp fires but with minimal noise. Would highly recommend.

Em va agradar Lovely views with direct access to water for swimming, paddle boarding and even fishing. We even walked to the bus stop (10 minutes walk) and went to Coniston cost was £3 each. There's a honesty tuck shop opposite site for treats and ice. We had full 4G access if that's your thing or you have work or movies to watch.

No em va agradar couple of the loos were honking but there's plenty to choose from and sadly that's just down to guests not cleaning up correctly.

Em va agradar Really lovely site, great access to the water, toilets were really clean as was the pitches, lovely atmosphere
Was greeted by Dan upon arrival and was lovely to see him around the site stopping to chat and gave me the name for a good spot for breakfast on the way home
Will definitely visit again

Em va agradar Attention to detail. Even though this is a pop up site, the facilities there are are kept to a very high standard. The location is perfect. You get the feeling you are in the middle of the Lake District and have views of the tarn and mountains all around.
We cycled from the site along the East side of Coniston to the village. There are lots of parking opportunities next to the lake, including a large field with access to the lake where you can park for the day. The Coniston Inn has a gorgeous beer garden and the village has cafes and shops.

No em va agradar Nothing to dislike. As a pop up site, you get exactly what it says on the tin.
The owners should be commended for the great job they are doing. I was worried the site would be noisy and full of groups, but we found it very spread out and civilised.
There was someone running a generator by the loos one day and also a group running their car engine at 7am - which I thought was inconsiderate - but apart from this a very happy camp.

Em va agradar Great field with the majority flat, brilliant location next to the river - we took the paddleboard up to where the river meets Coniston lake with the kids on.
Lady came round and cleaned/ re stocked the portaloos regularly.
Everyone on the site when we were there was quiet by 10pm.

The grass, one entrance point may get muddy in wetter weather as it went level in to the water. But dry when we arrived. The other entrance point area was raised up maybe a foot. Again both great for entering for paddle boarder, swimmers.

The ground was great and looked after

Maybe changes on who's there but was so quiet despite 20 other groups. Felt like the owners cared about who was there

Em va agradar The setting was beautiful, lovely scenic location, had exactly what we wanted activity wise-paddleboarding, nice walks, dipping for fish in the water and campfires/bbqs allowed. Field was surprisingly not boggy despite all the rain. Toilets were kept clean-host obviously has very high standards as she actually rang me shortly after arrival to apologise for them! I think the problem must have been solved by time I visited them myself because I thought they were perfect. My son particularly liked the taste of your drinking water! Very cool and fresh! The pop up tuckshop (I don’t think is part of the campsite) opposite the gates was a welcome surprise too. We would definitely come back here. Thank you!

No em va agradar Not having showers was a little tricky.. especially after the kids had been in the water-so would be exciting if this was introduced later- but it wasn’t unmanageable and we 100% knew what we was getting into. I was a little worried but after trying it next time I would just plan our stay to have a campsite with showers after…so not put off at all and enjoyed our stay!

Em va agradar Liked everything about this site, beautiful 360 degree views, swimming and paddle boarding straight from the camp, quiet, well run and the owner super friendly/helpful. Clean toilets, good sized washing up facilities, plenty of bins and little else to detract from wild camping. Oh and the road you access it from is super quiet. Will definitely return. Thanks for an excellent stay. 🙏

Em va agradar The area is amazing. The lad who is on site to help really does do her best to help. The toilets on site was cleaned very often. Overall amazing weekend. I have stayed here 2 times this month since finding it on here
