Some people prefer to keep their holidays very basic and remote indeed. Some people do not – and seek a spot with excellent leisure facilities, spotless amenities and customer-friendly approach… the better to get on with the important aspects of a holiday without stressing about the essentials. If this too is you, make your way to Manor Wood Country Caravan Park in green Cheshire countryside, where there’s loads to do on site, and where the amenities are so immaculate they’ve been given awards. Off site is pretty pleasing too, as Manor Wood is an easily accessible 25 minutes’ drive from Chester, Chester Castle and Chester Racecourse – and Chester Zoo, so say the kids, who’ll doubtless point out that their grownups can buy zoo tickets on site too. The park is in a nicely rural setting, home to two fishing lakes that adults and families can cast off at, and to a vast range of leisurely options indoors and out. The outdoor pool is open from the beginning of May through to September (whatever the weather), a climbing frame and play area are in the grounds and a games room with pool, table football and table tennis is indoors to take care of any inclement times. Back outside, tennis courts are available free of charge to all customers. A minute’s drive or half a mile’s stroll from Coddington, Manor Wood is surrounded by Cheshire and Nottinghamshire villages to pick up local produce and picnic bits and pieces. Make time/room too for a foray to the Lakeside Café on several occasions during your stay, for breakfast, snacks and light lunches to have indoors or outside while the kids investigate the play area; the café building also has free wifi, takeaway options and a small shop selling essentials and caravan supplies. Dogs are welcome too... so much so that they have their own section on the menu... Those who prefer things just a little quieter on their countryside holiday are invited to book from Monday to Friday in low season, to soak up the peaceful Cheshire surrounds in a more peaceful manner.

Em va agradar Pitch was nice . we were close to toilet block , swimming pool , and the playground .

No em va agradar No supervision at pool . pool overcrowded and kids become unruly . booked into pool with our sen child and was told it would be made an sen session . this was compltetly ignored and became a free for all for all the kids . no control on how many was in the pool and nobody inforcing site pool rules . It seemed somebdy was smoking weed by the toilets late at night and some kids were left un-surpervised till 10.45pm in the playground that is sitauted right by the pitches . There didnt seem to be any understanding of sen sessions with children that have special needs .

Em va agradar Thank you for an amazing holiday, we all loved our stay. So much to do and experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Even helping me with my dog, when I couldn’t quite manage everything between my 5 and 7 year old and my dog. Thanks again for all your help and making it a memorable holiday.

Em va agradar Lots to do for the children. Bar and restaurant really nice. Staff excellent and really helpful. The pool was clean and warm. The near by village is nice but you need a car unless you're a good walker. Really close to Chester.

No em va agradar Toilets/ shower rooms became really poor at times due to children playing in them. The campsite was noisy some nights till about midnight. The space around your pitch was not respected and people walked in front and behind caravan. If you want peace and quiet ask for a pitch away from park. There is a dog walk but not any other walks.

Em va agradar Beautiful place, lots of space, pool was amazing for the kids, and the play area was a winner. Will definitely be booking again.

No em va agradar Shop is more of a gift shop and didn't sell essentials. We also pitched our tent on a pile of dog poo so had to move it and clean it. Apart from that we loved it.

Em va agradar Lovely site,great sized pitches.We were very lucky with the weather during are stay.Pool was great,water was warm, but daughter would of liked it deeper and bigger as she's a very keen swimmer(but this isn't a negative comment,as alot of small children use the pool)
We didn't get chance to sample the cafe,as we were too late for pizza on pizza night🙈and was closed for food on the Friday.Milkshakes were delicious,as was the ice cream.Our Dog enjoyed the dog walk round the site.

No em va agradar Price of ice cream as £16 for 4 of us to enjoy.
Shower block showers by pool, not as clean as ones by our pitch.But understand they are used alot where they are.
