Is it quality time you’re looking for around Southwold, the Norfolk Broads and other top Suffolk and Norfolk spots? Halesworth Holiday Park is in Suffolk, but it's well placed for all sorts of outings in both Suffolk and Norfolk – it's a 20-minute drive from Southwold and The Broads, with destinations like Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Great Yarmouth further out. It's a family-friendly set-up at this place, and dogs are welcome too (kept on a lead at all times and cleared up after, the site requests). The small wooded area at the rear of the site is handy for those shorter dog walks, and the coast and The Broads have more to offer on that front. How about those post-walk meals and ales? For that, take a 20-minute walk into Halesworth, a pleasant little town with pubs (and shops too). Halesworth Holiday Park is also five minutes’ drive away from a 190-acre golf course when you fancy teeing off. On site, facilities include a washing-up room, grey and brown wastewater disposal points, bins for rubbish and recycling, a long freshwater hose and a service point with a wastewater drain. There’s also a toilet block with ladies' and gents' loos, a good-quality shower and a disabled wet room that includes a toilet and shower, all with underfloor heating.

Aquest càmping només per a adults ofereix parcel·les planes i netes, amb instal·lacions bones i un ambient tranquil. Tot i que el pub està tancat, Halesworth és a prop. No em va agradar Drove 46 Miles for them to have double booked got refunded but be time we got there all other sites shut as bank holiday

Em va agradar Sounded friendly on the phone

No em va agradar We arrived pulled in behind the pub. The place was full with static caravans , trucks etc. No reception no one to greet. I called lady said fo past which clearly was people living there and park up anywhere in the carpark.
It was shocking we just pulled around and drove right back out.
I wish I had taken photos .nothing like the photos on site

Em va agradar The owner was very accommodating and friendly, gave me a lot of help as my partner had a broken leg so him and his daughter helped us.

No em va agradar No receptionist or electric for a few hours but got rectified

Em va agradar Turned up Friday evening to a warm welcome and pointed out to our pitch and given some bags for the rubbish The site is clean and tidy all facilities you require WC/Shower are clean phone signal can be hit and miss site was quiet even being full
Good luck to new owners running the site

We used to pub too which is dog friendly and run by a lovely couple who have taken over when I asked about food it was explained at present only do food on a Sunday but luckily for us the darts team where playing and we was welcomed to have some loaded fries that was made for them it was delicious

Em va agradar Lovely and quiet.

No em va agradar Mens shower block needs another toilet and shower ones not enough and some more gravel needs putting down for driveway and pitches the gravel now has a lot of glass and plastic mixed into it looks it's had tip ground fill poured into it then a bit of gravel thrown on top.

Em va agradar Toilets were clean and tidy nice little pub near by.

No em va agradar Wifi was dropping in and out but we pitched at the bottom near the woods so was not that great also near a road were lorries were passing but during the night it was quiet.

Em va agradar Absolutely nothing - other than 4 star for location awarded only because it was convenient for visiting friends, read disliked comments below

No em va agradar Appalling site, nobody to meet and greet, sign said to check in at pub bar, the bar man didn’t want to know and said just go and park up!

Drove past the toilet block, which we didn’t even bear to venture into! drove past the half a dozen or so static caravans which looked derelict, on to the grass and hard standing area, no electric available for our paid hook-up, plus a couple of occupants which were definitely long term residents and looked a bit dubious, turned round and left.

Site felt unsafe, unloved and needs a total revamp, very sad as it could be a good little site with the pub on its doorstep, the pub looks like it’s just undergone a refurb so perhaps I’m being a tad pre-judgemental, perhaps the site is going to be refurbished but surely if it is it should of been ready for the beginning of the season! Don’t think we’ll be back!

Boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding or birdwatching on The Broads (20 minutes’ drive) take your fancy? Pedalling down the waterside trails there instead? Or taking your binoculars out to go birdwatching around the waterways or at RSPB Minsmere (25 minutes)? In Southwold (20 minutes), there’s a different scene, including beach huts and a restored Victorian pier. A short stroll along the river Blyth gets you to a foot ferry that visits Walberswick across the water. In the village, pastimes include crabbing off the riverbanks and bridge or having a nice brew in one of the tea rooms. Covehithe Beach (20 minutes) is a rather peaceful sandy stretch for a quieter beach day. However, those of you who prefer more action may want to visit Great Yarmouth (45 minutes) instead. Museums, an aquarium and sailing yacht hire are part of the highlight reel in that seaside resort. An itinerary from this site shouldn’t forget Norwich (45 minutes) either, where there's a medieval cathedral, Norman castle and local museum… plenty of history to keep you going.
