Em va agradar Site is clean, very well laid out, had a dog park and kids park which is great. Each night there ate different food vans and the ice cream man came too, thst was brilliant. The washrooms were clean and very well maintained. Picktch was fine too. Level and with plenty of space. Tge area though it brilliant, literally just down the road is a huge lake area with walks, activities and events. There a cafe thats good too.

No em va agradar The site wifi is awful, it rained alot during our stay, do wifi would have been useful, the free service lasts only 4 hours with limits to it, so we paid for unlimited and it constantly failed, dropped out and was slow. The area was a black spot for EE with also didn't help. We're not on the net all the tome, but we like music and when it rained we like to watch a film. The service was not what we paid for. Unfortunately it seamed something out of the site staff control.

Em va agradar Very nice lay out with plenty of space between pitches, and well serviced wash block.

Em va agradar The pitches were laid out well with clear markings, we were on the West Side which is mostly for caravan and motor homes with only a few grass pitches.
Staff came round within 5 minutes of arriving at the pitch to see we were okay.
We had the choice which side to stay, that was great, the other side we were told had a lot of kids on site and was more set up with families. Looking on the map it had a play park too for the kids but we never went over to that side.
There was an area where dogs could be off lead on our site.
The toilet, shower room and washing up facilities were well kept, very spacious and cleaned each morning with clear times.

No em va agradar My most dislike was that while the staff were friendly, it didn't feel welcoming at all, perhaps as it was more business ran than pleasure.
In my past experiences on different sites, we have been handed a map or shown on a map where facilites are, dog walking areas, dark park if they have one, just the little things that make you feel welcome and 'at home'.
Upon arrival we were questioned about our dogs (Staffy's) yes, they bark and look mean when someone is talking to us through the car window, being asked about their breed was fine and expected, however after saying their breed we were questioned further "Are you sure?"
When asking about WiFi on site, the person I asked let out a sigh and it felt like a burden that she had to get an information leaflet from the board and informed me "There should be leaflets in the information centre." If I'd have known there was an information centre, I'd have gone there.
It was only looking through reviews that I discovered there was an area to let dogs off lead, nothing mentioned on their site map. Just says to keep dogs on leads in permitted areas, which also are not clearly marked. The gates on the dog park have no latch or locking mechanism, meaning the dogs can just push the gates open and escape if owners don't guard both doors or tie it shut. The gates open away from the dog park.
Should have been obvious, but the trains! Such a noisy site with trains still blowing their horns at gone 10pm at night. This isn't down to the site but something to consider if wanting a quiet site.

No em va agradar The smell in the East ladies toilet after theyd been cleaned. the state of the one washing machine (looked like a dog had been on a hot wash in the drum). The gangs of teens that form after suppertime on their bikes wanging around the road way. Cars are liable to the mph limit but kids on bikes arent? Im all for fun but someone's gonna get hurt. Put me on edge.
