Set in a stunning meadow, Nightingales Rustic Camping is a back to basics site in Warwickshire with plenty of room between pitches and well-maintained communal toilet and shower facilities. There are designated spots where you can light up a fire as well (it doesn't get much more atmospheric than sitting together around flickering flames as the setting sun streams over the meadow…). Nightingales Rustic Camping is a few minutes' walk away from a farm shop where you can pick up a whole host of top-quality produce, and it's about a 10-minute drive to nearby Atherstone and its many amenities, which include a railway station, supermarket, restaurants and a leisure centre. Although this site is pleasingly rural in atmosphere, Nightingales Rustic Camping is in a very convenient location – Birmingham city centre, Drayton Manor Theme Park and the market town of Tamworth can all be reached by road in under half an hour.

Em va agradar Lots of space and good views. Nice welcome. Lovely to have a 'kitchen space' with a kettle in it. Nice that there are some picnic tables to sit at. Good hot water in the shower.

No em va agradar Toilet and shower area and kitchen area could be cleaner.

Specious fields. We loved the fact that we could rent a fire pit and buy wood! 🥰

No em va agradar This dislike is not towards the host but the campers themselves… flush the toilet a little more so your business is actually flushed away!
Also, bring your own wipes/tissue

Em va agradar We had a brilliant first camping experience at Nightingales Rustic Camping — just me and my 4-year-old daughter. Charlotte was absolutely fantastic, so welcoming, kind and accommodating.

As it was our first time camping together, I was a little unsure of what to expect, but Charlotte made us feel really comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived. She was so helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay.

The site has a lovely, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and it was the perfect place for our first camping adventure together. My daughter absolutely loved it! 🏕️❤️

We’d definitely recommend Nightingales Rustic Camping and will hopefully be back again soon!

Em va agradar There were plenty of places to choose from when pitching, which was great. The campsite was peaceful and quiet, exactly what I was looking for. I also liked the facilities area, which had useful amenities including a microwave. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing place to stay. I liked how there was a solo or relaxed pitch area to what suited you.

No em va agradar There were only two portable toilets on the field, and unfortunately they were quite smelly at times. It was also a bit of a walk to the main toilet facilities, which wasn’t ideal. The farm shop was quite untidy and looked like it was in the middle of being renovated, so it didn’t feel particularly welcoming during our stay.

Em va agradar Lovely friendly team. The pitches are on a working farm and thwee are areas fir quiet social and family social you dont want noise you can choose the quiet areas. Pitches are unmarked and they do have a toilet and shower also chemical toilets dotted round the site. I saw a complaint in the reviews that the ground was rough this is because it is a working farm and is farmed when not in use as a camp site during off season. It says a rustic site and it is and that's the beauty of it. I camp solo and felt perfectly safe here.

For a restorative round of the green, take yourself down to Atherstone Golf Club (10 minutes' drive); tiddlers who find the games there rather slow-paced for their liking can be taken to the town's swimming pool (10 minutes) instead. Also close by are Kingsbury Water Park (15 minutes) and Hartshill Hayes Country Park (15 minutes), where there are birds to spot, picnics to be had and a load of nature to take in.
