A small, modern and well-kept site, within easy reach of Buxton and Bakewell and a short walk from an award-winning pub – Farditch Farm is quite the Peak District pleaser. This friendly park in the village of Chelmorton is the place to settle for a little while if you seek your own space; valuing quality over quantity, the owners have elected to set up just a handful of pitches, each one spacious and surrounded by landscaping for the dual win of privacy and pretty colour. There's also good vehicle access, although the site is quite close to a busy road and does experience some traffic noise. Facilities have been limited to the essentials to maintain an uncrowded vibe. But what essentials they are – the smart central facilities building has a cosy lounge area and communal kitchen, and the adjacent toilet block has all mod cons, including plenty of showers, an accessible bathroom and handy touches including hairdryers. A cycle storage area is available on request, with secure storage and bike wash point. Skipping out from the site you can your pick from rural rambles on the miles and miles of trails that network the Peak District National Park, sampling the puddings in Bakewell and taking the waters in the spa town of Buxton. Pick up your eats at Chatsworth’s farm shop, 20 minutes’ drive away, or wander down to the local pub, the Church Inn, to see why it’s picked up awards for its offerings (tasty food and a fire by which to sup your pint, perchance?)

Em va agradar: Clean and spacious site. No real check in, text msg to inform of pitch number. Shower block super clean, really hot water and good showers. Kitchen (sink, washer, fridge and microwave) and lounge area available for campers to use. Lovely walks straight from the campsite. Great food at the Church Inn, 30min walk away. Caught the Peak Bus into Buxton rather than taking the van. Bus driver dropped us by the farm on the way back.

No em va agradar: Road could be noisy, but it was a bank holiday weekend, so motorbikes out and about. Quieter by the evening.

Em va agradar: The site was very clean and tidy with great facilities in a lovely location. Easy to find and get set up.

No em va agradar: The other pitches had slightly better views but we booked last minute, so that's on us!

Em va agradar: Site was clean and tidy with lovely views. Clean showers and toilets, a kitchen area with washing machine. Also a lovely lounge area with t.v, sofas and table and chairs. Also a nice outside space with benches. Good value for money

Dog walk area not adequate - need to be able to have a run after travelling some distance.

Em va agradar: Loved the facilities which included a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, fridge and freezer, lounge with lots of information about the local area and spotless toilets and showers. The pitch itself was large with power, water and grey waste disposal and surrounded on three sides by raised planted beds to ensure privacy from other pitches. The site was clean, well maintained and very pretty with views over surrounding hills. A bit pricier but worth every penny. Location was great and I will be back.

No em va agradar: I was on pitch 5 which was close to the road. It wasn't a busy road but be prepared for some traffic noise from farm vehicles.

Em va agradar: Spotlessly clean, great facilities, beautiful location. Quiet , stunning scenery

No em va agradar: The pitch had a brick wall at the rear which meant we had to pitch our caravan horizontally thankfully we had a motor mover !

With Chelmorton in the midst of the Peak District National Park, there are heaps of outdoorsy activities within easy reach. Walkers and cyclists have miles of trails to pick from; popular favourites nearby include the Tissington and Monsal trails. Horse riding, canoeing and climbing excursions are also available around the park. And might you fancy pottering around the country’s fave country house? Then it’s off to Chatsworth, 20 minutes from the site – the Italianate stately home has been voted to the top of the polls several times for its fab collection of art, its stunning state rooms and its gorgeous gardens. There’s also a farmyard and playground here for the amusement of smaller visitors. Plan to spend a bit of time in both the local towns of Buxton and Bakewell – the former for its grand opera house and elegant spa town heritage, the latter for poking about in the market and sampling its famed sweet treats (which is better – the tart or the pudding? Well, there’s only one way to settle that debate…)

Els menors que no estiguin acompanyats per un adult hauran de presentar una carta d'autorització dels pares o tutors legals.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
L'establiment us enviarà més informació sobre el registre d'entrada 2 dia/es abans de la vostra arribada.
No s'ofereixen reembossaments/descomptes per les inclemències metereològiques, les arribades tardanes ni les sortides anticipades.

Extres

Es poden portar motos en lloc dels cotxes inclosos en el preu.

En cas que tingueu alguna queixa, parleu amb recepció de seguida. Aquelles queixes que no hagueu presentat a l'administració durant la vostra estada no es podran resoldre un cop hagueu marxat del càmping.
Està prohibit portar Roof tents.
La direcció es reserva el dret de refusar l'accés o posar fi a l'estada d'aquells hostes que presentin un comportament inapropiat. En tal cas, no s'oferirà cap reembossament.
Les ràdios, els reproductors de música i els televisors s'han de mantenir a baix volum. Les portes i els maleters dels vehicles s'han de tancar amb cura.
Les reserves són personals i intransferibles.
S'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 22:00 i les 8:00.

Els gossos han d'estar fermats i vigilats en tot moment.

Vehicles

Està prohibit que els vehicles circulin de 23:00 a 7:00.
Només es permet aparcar un vehicle al costat de la parcel·la. Els vehicles addicionals s'han d'aparcar a la zona designada.

Visites

Els visitants han d'abandonar les instal·lacions abans de les 22:30.
