Wake up and walk the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, or perhaps challenge yourself to a local hill summit. Based on the northwest coast of Anglesey, you’ll have lots of choice over how to spend your time from Llain Ffynnon Camping. A morning brew over the site's sea views? Taking the 15-minute walk down the closest beach for a quick dip in the sea? Or perhaps you’d rather go for a dog walk towards the mountains (after all, dogs are welcome here too). You’ll need a good pair of shoes, that’s for sure. One of the big perks of this site is that it’s easy to get to many places on foot. The local pub in Church Bay is only half an hour’s walk away. It’s also on the way to the rockpools at Porth Swtan beach (40 minutes’ walk) or the seafood restaurant and café close to the shore. You’ll get an idea of the splendid walks around these parts just from glancing at the views from this site. Based quite high up, Llain Ffynnon Camping doesn’t just have views over the northwest coast – you'll catch Snowdonia's mountains, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the northwest of England on a clear day too. The site is only a short walk from access points to several well-maintained public footpaths, including one with access to the Mynydd y Garn summit. If you need to pack some snacks and sandwiches before you go, there are two local food shops in Llanfaethlu or Tregele, 10 minutes’ drive from the site. Once you're back at base, make use of the hot shower and toilet facilities available to freshen up again.

Friendly family who own the site went out their way to come and chat.
Very quiet site. I arrived on the bank Holiday Monday after everyone had left. Nearest shop is an hours walk away, but a beautiful walk so didnt mind. Coastal Walk is a short walk from the site and 100% worth doing.
I wish I didnt live 5hrs away otherwise ill be visiting more often.

喜欢 Panoramic sea views, great walks from the site (especially down to Church Bay), friendly hosts and not fully packed despite the campsite being fully booked. Will definitely be coming back.

喜欢 Stunning views, very peaceful with friendly owners. Not for you if you want a brightly lit holiday camp, which was why it appealed to us. Also loved the bluebell walk to the monument nearby.

喜欢 Absolutely beautiful site with an incredible view! Our first camp trip, we went non electric and were a little nervous but it was absolutely amazing. The site is away from all the hussle and bustle with absolutely incredible views. The camp owners were so lovely and helped with anything asked. There are 3-4 toilets (I lost count) a cold shower and a newly fitted hot shower. Washing up tap with wash liquid to use, drinking water to use as well. That’s everything on site and all you need! Highly recommend if you want to escape. Gorgeous walks around aswell and the coastal walk down at the beach was out of this world.

You might first spot the Goleudŷ Ynysoedd y Moelrhoniaid (The Skerries Lighthouse) from the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. Up close, after a chartered boat ride from Holyhead (25 minutes’ drive), the view is even better, and the birdwatching just as splendid. The seabird colony at Cemlyn North Wales Wildlife Trust Reserve (10 minutes’ drive) is pretty spectacular to watch too. A shingle ridge, lagoon and plants such as sea kale and sea campion are part of the highlight reel at this place – just the thing if you're a fan of spying on wildlife. Those of you who are planning on spending a lot of your downtime beside the sea will be happy to find that there are a number of beaches that are easy to get to from Llain Ffynnon Camping. In fact, the National Trust’s Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn is half an hour’s walk away, and there are caves and rockpools to rummage around down there. Further out, other gorgeous beach locations include Cemlyn Bay (15 minutes’ drive), Porth Trwyn (10 minutes) and Traeth Porth Wen Beach (15 minutes).
