Wake up and walk the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, or perhaps challenge yourself to a local hill summit. Based on the northwest coast of Anglesey, you’ll have lots of choice over how to spend your time from Llain Ffynnon Camping. A morning brew over the site's sea views? Taking the 15-minute walk down the closest beach for a quick dip in the sea? Or perhaps you’d rather go for a dog walk towards the mountains (after all, dogs are welcome here too). You’ll need a good pair of shoes, that’s for sure. One of the big perks of this site is that it’s easy to get to many places on foot. The local pub in Church Bay is only half an hour’s walk away. It’s also on the way to the rockpools at Porth Swtan beach (40 minutes’ walk) or the seafood restaurant and café close to the shore. You’ll get an idea of the splendid walks around these parts just from glancing at the views from this site. Based quite high up, Llain Ffynnon Camping doesn’t just have views over the northwest coast – you'll catch Snowdonia's mountains, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the northwest of England on a clear day too. The site is only a short walk from access points to several well-maintained public footpaths, including one with access to the Mynydd y Garn summit. If you need to pack some snacks and sandwiches before you go, there are two local food shops in Llanfaethlu or Tregele, 10 minutes’ drive from the site. Once you're back at base, make use of the hot shower and toilet facilities available to freshen up again.

喜欢 Location is fabulous and the views are just stunning.
The owners work tirelessly to keep the campsite spotless and are always cleaning and replenishing the facilities.
I honestly don’t know how they do it whilst running a farm and so so friendly.
Will definitely visit again.

喜欢 Wonderful site located in a relatively remote part of Anglesey but with many beautiful walks and points of interest within easy reach. Stunning views out to sea and a very quick walk up to the top of the hill to get 360 views of the whole island (weather permitting). Sunrise and sunset visible from the site. We went at a weekend at the start of August and it felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. The owners were friendly and helpful and gave us lots of useful local knowledge. Would choose this site again.

不喜欢 Toilet block was cleaned frequently and never a long queue but there was no hot water on the days we visited. Don’t know if there should have been. It didn’t affect our experience.

喜欢 The views are amazing, and the facilities are basic but clean and well kept. Overall excellent value for money.

不喜欢 The place is very exposed and thus very windy. It's both its beauty and its drawback.

喜欢 The family are warm and welcoming and definately went above and beyond to help our unprepared relative. The toilets are always clean and stocked and attended to hourly. there is one "hot shower" works fine.
The locations has superb views north to Isle of Man and east to Ireland.
It's an excelent "dark sky" for stargazing.
the price is very welcoming too.
We like it.

不喜欢 There was a burst mains nearby which made for difficulties with water but facilities are limited anyway and at busy times queues can form.
If you have dogs check for ticks. we found one. to be expected.

喜欢 Lovely little campsite, arrived in the dark and we were able to find a pitch quickly as you can choose where you want to go, I’d probably suggest arriving when it’s light as there are some areas that are on a slope and it’s hard to tell at night.

Beautiful views to wake up to over the whole campsite and the owner was very relaxed and friendly!

We only stayed one night so can’t comment on the walks from the area etc but seemed like quite a few and shops nearby drive.

You might first spot the Goleudŷ Ynysoedd y Moelrhoniaid (The Skerries Lighthouse) from the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. Up close, after a chartered boat ride from Holyhead (25 minutes’ drive), the view is even better, and the birdwatching just as splendid. The seabird colony at Cemlyn North Wales Wildlife Trust Reserve (10 minutes’ drive) is pretty spectacular to watch too. A shingle ridge, lagoon and plants such as sea kale and sea campion are part of the highlight reel at this place – just the thing if you're a fan of spying on wildlife. Those of you who are planning on spending a lot of your downtime beside the sea will be happy to find that there are a number of beaches that are easy to get to from Llain Ffynnon Camping. In fact, the National Trust’s Traeth Ynys y Fydlyn is half an hour’s walk away, and there are caves and rockpools to rummage around down there. Further out, other gorgeous beach locations include Cemlyn Bay (15 minutes’ drive), Porth Trwyn (10 minutes) and Traeth Porth Wen Beach (15 minutes).
