喜欢 Very nice site,good amenities and staff were welcoming,donkeys,geese,ducks and hundreds of rabbits were great to see.pool area and touring facilities are a wee bit tired and in need of freshening up in areas but I would recommend this site.will return.The Lairds inn onsite is great for meals and staff are a credit,very attentive and welcoming.

喜欢 Good space, plenty of room on the pitch.
Good clean facilities.
Lots of wildlife.
Reasonably priced cafe and bar.

不喜欢 Some areas had a lot of dog dirt which had not been cleaned up.
Could do with more waste bins.

喜欢 Castle Cary was a last minute decision and what a wonderful surprise, ❤️ the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The pitches were beautifully kept the ensuite toilet and showers were clean and warm with plenty of lovely hot water to shower with. Everything was signposted and easy to find and use including a clean spacious laundry room . All this with beautiful views a dramatic castle a bar and restaurant serving excellent food our one night stop turned into 5 nights and we're already planning to return for our next Scottish fix. An experience well worth having would recommend Castle Cary to everyone. Thank you

喜欢 Nothing special, staff friendly and helpful, especially Gillian, whose help we are eternally grateful.

Nice site unfortunately did not get a chance to enjoy it.

不喜欢 There should be more prominent signs with regards to dogs being kept on leads, and tackled by the site staff if they are running around. As we witnessed a large husky off lead making its way towards our small dog. This resulted in my husband being assaulted by the owner when mentioned. Thanks Scotland you were very welcoming.

喜欢 Good amenities, pleasant staff, nice surroundings. The Lairds Inn was a lovely restaurant.

不喜欢 Shower quickly overflowed, and had no functionality to adjust temperature.

喜欢 Spacious pitches and didn't feel too cramped although there were a lot of van/motorhomes. Fairly level, we didn't use levellers although I noticed some vans had. Location ideal for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. We didn't use the swimming pool/café etc so can't comment on those. The playpark was very popular with children, looked a good site for families. 11 pm quiet rule adhered to when we were there. Site was clean.
Laird's Inn was very busy on the Saturday night, 5 stars to the staff who worked there and kept everything running smoothly. Food good, as was the beer. You do need to book online as it was fully booked when we were there. (Simple process!)
Rules on website said no gazebos/awnings/pup tents but there were quite a few in use.
Would possibly use again as a one night stop . We do prefer smaller sites, but size hasn't put us off (see dislikes).

不喜欢 Oh dear, the toilets/showers! The "ensuite" idea does not seem to be working, more like a very wet/dirty room. Showers weren't fully enclosed and cloakroom sized hand wash basins meant water leaked onto the floor, out of the cubicle and into the corridor where it mixed with footprints from people's shoes. There was a notice to asking people to mop up the floor after using. We did, BEFORE use, to try to get into a cubicle without getting too wet/dirty! No sign that over a busy weekend these were ever cleaned. Foot prints (dog prints?) left in the actual showers. We gave up trying to find a clean one and thankfully we were only there a couple of nights so gave the showers a miss.
